There seems to be some confusion on if hosts are eligible for points in their own events. If it's something like trivia where the hosts know the answers, I see why, but what about the other events like battling and other gaming events?

i don't mind personally as long as you have no advantage
so if you're a random battle tournament host i'm ok with that, since it's randomized
but if you host an OU tournament i'd rather you not score because you have the advantage of being the one who chose the tournament type and might already have a team prepared/chosen the tier that you battle best in

My personal opinion. Not sure if this was discussed somewhere and I missed it (possible since I was away for a lot of the initial planning, and the Discord server was moving really fast closer to GT opening), but I don't think there is harm for hosts to earn points from their own events unless it's clearly something they have an advantage in?

i dont care as long as you dont have an inherent advantage

    also this:

what it comes down to is
is it possible for someone other than the (co)host to win the event
if so, then i dont care
if not, then it's obvious that they have an inherent advantage
to provide a more "concrete" definition
    in my eyes at least

no because it's possible for you to still lose even being a good battler

a "clear advantage" can even possibly be defined as "is it impossible (or near-impossible) for the (co)host to lose"

in battling's case, it is not impossible or close to impossible.
