How Digimon Brought Me Here

So awhile ago my little sister began obsessing over anime (*more specifically she became a yaoi fangirl overnight*) So as I was psychoanalyzing her in my own mind I decided to check out some of the animes she was watching, It started with Lovely Complex, then Special A, then Attack On Titan, then Ouran Host Club, then Maid Sama, then Sword Art Online. There's also a shit ton of others that I at least checked out. As most of you know, any person who watches Anime over a period of time becomes addicted to watching them, and I did. I started checking out animes for myself and I started with the original Pokemon because of fond memories I had of it as a kid. The anime was very "meh" and a little bit after jumping forward to Hypno's Naptime and March Of The Exeggutor Squad (which I did after swearing to myself that I would watch all of the episodes in succession until I got to that point instead of jumping straight into the fetish fuel episodes) ...I ended up stopping after a few more episodes. Part of it was the story line being all but compromised, but most of it was because I just became disinterested. I then gave Digimon a shot after seeing it in the anime listings on Netflix. The Digimon anime was exciting and dark and had enough fetish fuel sprinkled in to keep me interested. I am still watching it and I just finished the 3 part episode "Digimon World Tour". Another reason I kept watching Digimon was because my 8 year old cousin started coming over and watching it with me, soon becoming even more interested in it than I was. (there's also been some subtle conversational hints that he's being indoctrinated with the same fetish I kept secret as a child). Watching him play legos one time I watched him use one of the bad guys in Chima to pretend hypnotize one of the good guys. I also heard him say a monotone "Yes Master" while speaking for the lego figure. In case you haven't caught the hints I have a hypnosis fetish and that's an important thing about me. Back on topic, after I started searching more Digimon stuff online it started to remind me of pokemon again. When I finally got the money I purchased a 3DS and several pokemon games. When I was a kid I had several brief stints and passive obsessions relating to the pokemon franchise. I remember buying $50 worth of pokemon cards when I was 9 and lining them up in my room. I remember playing Soul Silver on my DS lite when I was 11, I remember back when I purchased a game boy advance on ebay when I was 13 just so I could play Ruby and Emerald (and boy was that worth it until 2 years later when I lost my gameboy at a friends house). My DS lite is all but broken and my old Soul Silver game now belongs to my little sister who still owns a DSi. Now that I have Diamond, Soulsilver, White, Black 2, X, and OmegaRuby I am going to be getting busy with pokemon for quite a while. Anyway, it's good to be back.

Wow that was quite the story ahaha! When I was little I watched Digimon too! But then I stopped watching ... Don't know why though :/ But it's cool to know that Digimon brought you back to Pokémon! I really hope you enjoy your new Pokémon games :3 They are all great ^^

Yeah, the Pokémon anime is too kiddish and I've grown disinterested myself. But I'm mostly just exhausted with Team Rocket ruining things in every episode since the plots have become too predictable. -sigh- A lot of people that I know have said the Digimon anime is great so I feel like I'm missing out! Maybe I'll go and watch it sometime, especially if the story is a bit more dark and engaging. But I do love Serena and Clemont from the Pokémon X&Y anime series...

But anyway, enjoy your time catching up with the games and such. <3 You don't need to be a huge Pokémon fan to stick around here since we have plenty of other things to do so just have a good time! Let us know if you need help.

Nothing much. Just a lot of working recently... As far as Digimon goes it's great to see another fan! The anime is amazing I just wish they had more merchandise or better games.

So far I've only played White and as far as new favorite pokemon go I think it's Audino for me. Pretty much because it gives you a muk ton of experience when you beat it. With all the time I spend training my pokemon, it helps me a whole bunch.

The predictability of the Pokemon anime makes me want to pull my hair out sometimes. And yes I do love Clemont because he reminds me of myself just a bit. As far as what name I prefer just call me Senpai.
