How do you know if a pokemon is hacked in diamond and pearl? what are the signs? i think I got some off of the gts.

Check the stats of the pokemon.
Check if it has the PokeRus.

How is checking if it has pokerus a sign of hacking? I caught my fist case of the 'rus yesterday.
But yeah check the stats compared to their maxed stats. If more than two hit max (Or if any at all go over) then its hacked. Other things to look for are impossible balls (Eg cherish ball ratata), suspicious ID numbers (Eg 11111) and general impossibleness. I also use shoddy to check its IVs if i know the EVs

There is a list on another pokemon site with all event pokemon. This includes OT names, IDs, special moves, etc, and the rest is kind of common sense lol.

also keep an eye out for suspicious movesets like piplup with flare blitz thunder giga drain and hyper beam u will instantly no its hacked and if its stats are like 500attack and stuff its hacked

You really shouldn't care if it's legit or not.
If you got it from GTS, chances are it's legit enough to pass off in any battle.
Anyway, if it's hacked well enough, it's impossible to tell.
I mean, it's impossible to tell whether it was a game or a person that wrote this byte in that place.
