    Simplest method... use an IV\HP calculator

    Simplest ingame method... battle a Kecleon, and as long as you don't kill it, it will turn into the type it was hit with last (Your hidden power)

    Another method, trial and error, enter battles and attack pokemon with Hidden Power, write down what it is effective/not effective against and narrow it down (using the type match up poketch app can help here)
