    I have been into pokemon since it came out, then after i beat silver and gold,
    i quit. It just got bored after a while. But when D/P came out, i was at first
    not sure if i should get it, but after seeing friends play against eachother
    via wifi, i wanted to play so i got it. I mainly only play to compete against others
    and dominate ^.^
     
    i started when i was 8 years old. the first pokemon i played was silver.but now pokemon seems to be relly booring at the moment
     
    I got into Pokémon by watching it on Sky One back in 1997 I think. Then the games came out over here and I've been playing adamantly every since. Although I do have occasional long breaks.

    Been playing around 10 years now.
     
    I've been into it for as long as i can remember! I got all the games the second they were out!

    Um... Anyways, I got into Pokemon when I was 5, so its been 10 years for me.


    Wow...10 years... o.O LoL.
     
    I've been into pokemon casually since gold and silver
    But I only started playing competetively in D&P after I saw this site because I was interested in ROM hacking

    I started loving Pokemon when I was eight years old... I'm glad I never really stopped liking it. ^^
    I never got addicted to the games until SIlver and Gold though, I couldn't get my hands on Red&Blue because it was so popular then and all the games were always sold out.
     
    i started playing it when red and blue came out and i even watched the show but i hardly ever play anymore and stopped watching the show when i was eight because i notice it was the same stuff over and over agian
     
    Back when Red and Blue had first come out, I remembered seeing the commercials where the guy is trying to get all the Pokémon into the bus, wondering what I was watching...

    Then one of the kids down the street got Red version, and I played it for a bit, got addicted, then.. well.. I stole it from him a few days after because I was so addicted.

    Funny, I got into Pokémon by stealing it.

    That was a few weeks after it had first come out.

    I got silver 3 days before street date, impressed all of my friends with it... Red was awesome, it's what got me addicted, but Silver was definitely my favorite game.
     
    I've been into Pokemon since I was about 8, I used to ALWAYS watch the anime, but never got any of the games, due to not having a Game Boy. :( I quit for a while, but I've been REALLY into the games over the past 2/3 years after finding a Emerald ROM off some website I cant remember. Now, I also have Diamond, Ruby and MD Red. :)
     
    I've been into Pokemon for a long long time, since it came out I think, I was a little kid back then. xD

    I remember being all hyper when the series got announced, It was good at first but... well now it just sucks. However, I think I will die before I stop liking Pokemon, it's just a great game.
     
    Played red and blue on the GBC, didn't really have anyone to trade with and only had one GBC so after beating everything I could beat I kinda lost interest. About a month ago I thought "Hey, I need a new game for my GBA" and bought emerald....then collosseum and fire red....then I bought a DS and diamond so i'll probly end up getting BR here shortly if I can find a good deal on it.
     
    I started playing Pokemon Red when it was released in late 1998 on my silver Gameboy Pocket. Oh the memories!
