[Idea] How much of a shut-in are Gym Leaders (and E4) for each region?

    May need a catchier title.

Idea arose from a Discord discussion yesterday about how memorable some Gym Leaders are. Part of it comes down to what they do in the game, outside of their gyms in particular. Kanto is pretty bad for this, for example - Giovanni is the only one roaming about in the original games. And he doesn't have the best excuse... While Unova ones are top of their game (but their E4 members aren't the greatest at this - if you limit it to 'seen outside of the Pokemon League but in Unova').

I first thought it could be a matter-of-fact style article - go through each one. But then maybe it'd be more fun to be somewhat silly with it? Giving a score rating for each region and poking fun at the characters, for instance. But not quite sure yet of the exact angle, so looking for input there.

    Thoughts?

I think it's a pretty solid idea, I'd definitely go for the more humorous / silly route since in-game they're all pretty much recluses outside Gen 5 gym leaders. Maybe you could rank the top 5 / bottom 5 individual gym leaders rather then ranking the regions and alternate the category each entry (ie: top 5th, bottom 5th, top 4th, bottom 4th, etc) so you could focus on the outliers instead of having to include everyone. You could also consider their professions when judging their "shut-in"ness (eg: Maylene running an actual workout gym is likely to have more human interaction then whatever Pryce is doing). An example of the type of thing I'm thinking of would be:

    No. 5 bottom / Pryce

Pryce being the Johto's ice type expert is very fitting, because he gets about as much socialization as an Antarctic glacier. Nobody's quite sure of what Pryce does while holed up in Mahogany Town's gym aside from fulfilling challenge requests from the once-in-a-blue-moon trainer that passes through the town's winding roads on the way to Blackthorn City of the Lake of Rage; nobody is ever seen going in or going out, possibly due to the maddening ice block puzzles that make moving about in the gym a massive hassle. Hopefully somebody can get him to chill out and recognize the value in occasionally changing into a looser state.

Hmm, I could do individual ranks, although that does mean a fair bit of work! (Also 5 top/bottom is too many for the gym leaders). I'll mull it over. Maybe a mix where instead of ranking I highlight the most and least shut in ones, and the number for each will vary based on the region anyway.
