How often do you replay Pokémon games?

Are you someone who goes through the games once, or do you replay to do challenge runs or simply to experience the games again?

sometimes I replay just to re-experience the region with a different team. sometimes I do challenges but that is very rare. i often replay the other version (i.e. I played Pokemon X first so I'll replay Kalos with Y). and sometimes there's bonus things on the other versions so that's a win-win scenario

only one copy of the newer gen I keep finished, so I can breed and transfer the egg over
I do own two different 3DS Systems

the other extra copies I buy, I do finish the main story, then transfer the 6 Pokemon team to the completed game, and restart the game to replay it with a different challenge or language

I play through the games once, usually. There are exceptions though, such as in the case of games that I haven't played in years just to experience them once again to have them fresh in my memory. Like currently, I'm replaying through Platinum as well as Black 2 for that very reason, and in the future I'm going to be playing through Black and HeartGold. n.n

I've replayed gens II and III sooo many times. They're my favorites to run through for challenges, and I'm doing a new Ruby run for the Get-Together Storm Team Rocket's hideout event. =') IV, VI, and VII are probably my least replayed. I enjoy them, but the ease of RBY, GSC, and RSE makes them so easy to go through again.

Every few weeks/months I get the idea to play through Gen IV or Gen V again. Usually with custom nuzlocke rules and/or randomisers for the extra challenge. :>

I can't erase a save file. Even if I most likely will not play the game again, I cannot just delete the many hours of progress I have put into it.

On the other hand, I like to play challenges and it's a good thing I can just copy a downloaded rom and replay an old game. I have played all of the Gen III games many, many times.

Very much this. The only time I purposely deleted a save file was my on my original Sapphire cartridge, and I've regretted it pretty much ever since.

I've replayed almost every game multiple times. I make use of save editing software or Pokebank in order to preserve my pokemon. I just enjoy playing with different teams and trying out every pokemon. I also make use of roms to do quick playthroughs.

I've replayed Crystal over 100 times lmao. I play it at least once a month nowadays. As for other games? I tend to replay ORAS, HG, and Black 2 quite a bit. Emerald was something I replayed a lot as a kid but haven't recently as emulating just isn't fun to me and I don't own a copy anymore. Simply put, I like replaying games.

^Ahhh, same probably. I just realized recently I never bought Crystal from the 3DS eShop and am now so, sooo eager to buy and play it with some mons that aren't normally catchable there (like Mareep, for whatever reason).......

I don't like to replay my games.
If at all, I'll get the other version to play it off as a whole.
Since Sun and Moon, I'll finish up with Moon, buy a second-hand Sun to play and transfer all my Pokemon to Moon before selling it off again-- Same goes for the Ultra version.

All the time but I literally buy copies of games because I didn't want to lose my pokemon team I have 12 copies of emerald 24 copies of sapphire 7 copies of alpha sapphire and 3 copies of X the rest of the pokemon games I didn't name means I probably didn't replay those games and let me tell you it was expensive.

Every couple of years, really, but not always. There are some years I don't replay my Pokemon games at all. Right now, I'm in that period where I'm not replaying anything.

Oh, I replay them a LOT. One of my most favorites is Pokemon XY. I haven't been playing lately though. I've been pretty lazy and tired due to lack of sleep and such. ;o;
