ok hopefully this is getting posted in correct pace tired in a thread but didnt realize it was over 30 day old

I'm trying to figure out breeding which I've received some really great help out with trying to get the right nature to compliment my Zorua /zoruak
so i have a timid zorua with (what the judge calls can't be beat stats in HP A D SA SD) working on getting a random Speed increase, but thats beside the point

once i finally have all 6 great stats i need to start ev training it in order to get it to best of its abilites ill be focusing on its SA and Speed what they call a sweeper?

anyway what all will be needed to train it do i use the training thing that gives little punching bags?

which pokemon and where can i find them to make sure I'm gaining EV in right places

also when battling those specific pokemon do the pokemon being trained need to do the fighting or do they need to be in the party

also i have a pokemon with Pokerus in my PC so to keep the timer frozen i plan to try and expose my finished zorua any tips on that?

Regarding how to best spread Pokerus to your Zorua, keeping the afflicted pokemon in your PC is obviously a must in order to prevent the condition from disappearing. Once you have Zorua, arrange your party so that it sits adjacent to the pokemon that has Pokerus. Encounter a wild pokemon and simply flee from battle. There's something like a 50% chance of Pokerus spreading to Zorua in that case, I believe. Just repeat until it works.

Regarding EV training, with the addition of "Super Training," traditional EV training is no longer worth your time or effort. I personally hate Super Training for making the process too easy, but that's beside the point.

Just beat the crap out of the punching bags associated with the stats you want to boost. Side note: I recommend committing to Super Training until the pokemon you're training is 100% trained. Don't train for a few minutes then stop for some random battles. You'll still earn EV for any pokemon that participates in a battle. You may not earn EV associated with the stats you want to focus on.

If you want to EV train the traditional way, you'll need to locate pokemon that--when defeated--yield speed and sp. atk EV. Maybe find a location filled with Zubat/Golbat (speed) or a location filled with Budew or Roselia (sp. atk). Flee from battles involving any pokemon that distributes EV to any other stat.

ok thats two confirmations that I'm doing the pokerus correct to keep it quarantined until I'm ready to use it

super training, when doing that do i need to focus on every stat? or just the ones I'm wanting to raise? i.e speed and sp attack? I've noticed with super training you gan get well rounded as going for each stat? is this not the correct way?

what if you do both super train then Traditional EV train by finding specific pokemon any results better?

If you want to train the traditional way, some still consider it faster - especially with hordes. Here's the list of effort value yield; find something that has a horde, with the right EV, then put on the EV-enhancing items and Pokérus to EV train quickly. You can't be precise, however, so if you want 12 Speed with the mix, you better just do a Super Training or - if you have an L bag - punch a bag.

is there a difference between the two methods if super training takes more time but I'm guaranteed to get the stats where i want them id go that route
but in battle with a mother zoruak who was traditionally EV trained will it be better than my super trained?

Your Zoroark won't be stronger whether you decide to EV train the traditional way or through Super Training. The results are the same--even if you mix the two methods. It's just easier to ensure that you're always training the stats you want to train if you do Super Training.

As for which stats to focus on, that depends on what you want out of a particular pokemon. If you're trying to make Zoroark a more effective sweeper, then putting all your EVs in speed and sp. atk is wise. Allocating EV elsewhere will only hinder what you're trying to do. But if you want your Zoroark to be able to absorb more damage, then you'd likely boost HP or defense.

Personally, I use Super Training, but it's more effective if it already has some EVs. Thus, a mix isn't a bad idea. Super Training, you actually see the 1, 4, 8, 12 being added and can keep easy track, where with battle EVs you have to hope you didn't forget something that screws up your training or get trapped by a Trapinch that forces you to stand and fight.

Ok then so once I hatch my prefered zorua I put him into super trainer and focus on speed and special attack only?
I know one pokemon can only get so many so I'm assuming once I do all of those stats levels it won't be affected by training anymore or leveling up?

Pokemon can earn a max of 510 EVs; however, you can't place all 510 into a single stat. You can only place a maximum of 252 EVs into a stat. So if you were to focus on EV training the speed and sp. atk stats of your Zoroark, the distribution would be...

    252 to speed
    252 to sp. atk
6 to some other stat you want to give a very minor boost to.

Typically, it's a good idea to focus on fully training two of your pokemon's stats instead of spreading all 510 EV points to each stat equally. For example, if you're training--say--a Magcargo, you probably wouldn't waste valuable EV on boosting its speed or attack stat. These stats are going to be low regardless, so it'd be a better idea to highlight its superior sp. atk and boost one of its defenses. But ultimately, it all depends on what you're going for.

But yeah! Once your pokemon is "fully trained" through Super Training, the game will notify you that additional EV training won't affect your pokemon.
