Well last night I managed to get to a 31 chain but i Still have not reached 40... How do you people make it to a 40 chain? Sometimes I guess I must pick the wrong patch of grass because it kills my chain...

The best way is to pick a swarming pokemon, cause they have a higher encounter rate than other pokemon. Another way is to use a pokemon with an ability that will help gain that pokemon (i.e. Static - Magnemite etc.)

Most of the time though, once you get past 30, there is a chance that your chain will break for no reason. You can choose the correct patch, and get the correct pokemon, but the chain will break. The higher you go, the more likely the chain will break. Swarming pokemon increase the chance of getting a higher chain.

Last night I got up to 47 and got 2 shiny Starly before my chain broke.

    Hope this helps,

    ~M51

Well last night I was looking for swarm Slakoth, and I got to 31. I forget why my chain broke, but it must have been random... Now my swarm is Nosepass and I was trying to get a shiny of that, but anytime after about a chain of 10 I kept screwing up...

Any other tips anyone? Stupid 25 character thingy...

Well I usually pick something that shows up more, like today, I chained Bidoofs (lulz), and I got up to 46. No shinies, sadly, but I was damn proud. XD
