I did something in OWM and now my hero sprite doesn't load

    Hi guys

    I tried to insert a new sprite into OWM (exactly as I saw on the tutorial viseo, or that's just what I think I did) and now my hero sprite is basically a black rectangle, or doesn't load at all. It only affects the male hero, not the female one, nor any other sprites.

    Any ideas what happened or how to solve it?

    Hey @Kalarie are you able to provide a download link. Some of us aren't saavy building the program from github

    @Red_izekyel

    Are you using the latest build of OWM from Github? Of not, do that. It fixes several bugs.

    Have you imported dynamic palettes in your ROM? Or does your sprite use the same palette as the original?

    Yes, I'm using the latest compiled OWM version from github.
    I don't remember importing any palettes into the rom, besides one palette for a pokemon sprite in unlzgba.
    The overworld sprite I used didn't have the same palette as the hero sprite, and I see no way of them being connected to each other, because I didn't replace one with the other, but simply added it as a new one to the rooster.

    @red_izekyel

    So you're using version 2.1.0 and not 2.0.2? Because 2.1.0 is the latest and fixes several bugs of earlier versions.

    Assuming from your answer you probably haven't imported dynamic palettes for overworld sprites. Check this tutorial (and the next) which explains roughly how overworld sprites and their palettes work. Also, check this post about Dynamic Overworld Palettes by Navenatox.
