I'm not putting this in the fanfictions, since it's not actually a fanfiction, and I'm not really going to spam up the places. Anyways. I'm going to enter this competition to actually get a novel published. The publishers in question are called PamMacMillan, and they have published Bridget Jones' Diary 1 + 2, and The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold. If I win, I get ?50000 (O_O I know), and the novel gets published once I've finished it.
What I have to do is right the first chapter, and a synopsis of 4 pages or less, then send it into the TV show sponsoring the comp (I think it's Richard and Judy... a talk show for people who don't know these two oir don't live in UK).
And before everyone says: "Aw, you won't win" or "Ha! A kid trying to get a novel published" well duh! I know I'll be going up people double my age, but I don't care. I like writing, and it'll give me a chance to get my work "on the scene" as it is put... I'm so excited that even if I don't win, I'll have had some of my work read by a publishing company! ^_^
So... come December (that's when the comp deadline is) you may be talking to an official - and loaded - author!
