What do you do to prepare yourself to sleep?
Basically ,what kind of things you do before going to bed?
And about what time do you think "I should go to bed now."
Lately I've been having trouble getting to sleep , so I have to mentally myself. I drink warm liquids like tea or warm water and eat foods like peanut butter and bananas which are known to contain tryptophan, an amino acid in protein that causes drowsiness , to help me fall asleep. I also like to listen to calming music, such as classical or ambient electronic. There's this ambient project by Adam Young (or Owl City) called Port Blue and I've listened to that before bed alot. Also have been turning off lights to sort of "darken" the mood of the house. Since I'll be in dark room for over 8 hours or more, I feel it helps me adjust and get in the sleepy mood. Plus I sleep easier in a dark room than one with alot of light so sometimes I cover up the blinds and drapes.
