I like sawk cuz he gives me uncle Zach vibes which is my uncle and cuz of Stephan who you see in the picture giving him a moveset that have high power and with a 125 attack power and two good abilities

I for one do like Sawk. It's an early mon in BW1 with a very high phys. atk. stat perfect for the 2nd gym leader. Later gens give it reasonable coverage too. It was also the first and only gen 5 shiny I ever encountered. Plus Sawk has a funny cheese strat with sturdy and pain split if you run it at level 1.

Throh is a cool pokemon as well though, as someone who knows judo its cool that they made a judo pokemon lol, juat wish he had a signature move based on a judo technique..

Don't know why people hate him when we realize he has decent attack stat and someone swept a dude with a lvl 1 Sawk which is insane

Plus would they look cooler with a mega evolution


This is probably the best mega evolution concept they made for them in my opinion of course

I like Sawk more than Throh. It was on my team during my first playthrougth of Black. But in the hindsight, it embodies most things I don't like about Pokémon design - humanoid Pokémon resembling humans way to much and having a job as part (and majority) of their design.

Yet people think they're ripping off hitmonlee and hitmonchan but both of them are based off of boxing styles while sawk and throh are on different forms of ninjistu if that is the correct word

I've used both Throh and Sawk in Pokemon Exceeded, in separate runs, and they were both good.

The karate muppets; while I don't particularly really like them or anything, I definitely no longer dislike them. They were some of the gen 5 designs I was very "eh" on when they first released...but now I'm more indifferent towards them but definitely feel like they've earned their poke-stripes in a way and I'm sure they have their fans now and they deserve them!

I do feel like they'd be good candidates for mega evos, or some kind of thing to give them some additional flair/appeal.

Good thread because I do feel like they're mons a lot people have probably changed their initial view of and/or maybe warmed to.

I've always been indifferent on these, neither liking nor disliking them. They're just there for me.
I did randomly hatch a shiny Sawk while doing some breeding, so I guess there's that.
