What time period, other than our own, would you live in if you had the chance?

For me it would probably be the 1770's cause it would be really cool to live in America right when it was being founded...except for the whole possibly dying cause a war is going in in your backyard. haha

So anyway, what would you choose?

Probably the future, if we haven't completely screwed up climate at that point. Seeing OS XI... :)

If not, I'd stay in the present. I like it here.

I'd probably live in the future, about 2050 or 2100 just because the technology would be incredible, assuming we don't all die in 2012 or get owned by Global Warming. If not, I'd probably live in the 1500-1600 century, due to it being the Pirate Era. I mean, enough said, who wouldn't want to be a pirate?

The future.. There are a lot of problems with the present. But if you think this generation is bad well.. look at the previous. It was not all roses back then.

I would probably stay in this time period. The future can change in an instant and those who get stuck it will have to live in it as well.

The past.... Those who desire to live in the past would only face the hardships of it, which were harsher than ours, in my opinion. That is why I chose to stay in the present.

Kekeke, it can be very subjective and biased to say that the past was much more harsher. Especially when knowledge of such things that that we have today did not exist then is accounted for. Not to say that this is in part of ignorance but has yet to be discovered. Now saying that, people were able to continue living without problems etc.

Yet people to this day cannot imagine what they would do without a cell phone. Some argue that back then were simpler times, maybe, maybe not. But it definitely wasn't harsher... It was of the times, and even then, new things were being made etc, so people accommodated for that.

Probably in the 3000s, Or whenever space travel is a normal thing. I love space and it's kinda crap that by the time it's possible, or nearly possible... I'll probably be in my 60s or 70s and miss out on the chance :(

I would go to Scarborough Fair in the 1300's and then write a song about it.

I'd choose to live in the 1960s. I love the hippie scene and all the music that was popular during that time. Plus I would love to attend Woodstock. If I ended up loving the 60s entirely I think I'd keep going into the 70s and live out the disco scene. Might as well.

I'm happy with the current generation. I like the technology we have. :( I wouldn't be the same without it.

6452, a bit of a random number but definitely quite far in the future, but not during the period when we will be gasses or something. I would love to live in the future to get away from the hell that is the 21st century but without going into the more hell-ish past. Hey! I could take a DS and sell it as an ancient artifact.

12,028 Galactic Era(GE) on Planet Trantor in the Streeling Sector. I think that was around the time Hari Seldon revolutionized Psychohistory.
    ...
Wait, we're not talking about Alternate Universes?

Well then, the 1800 is Malaya(now Malaysia) I would have loved to be part of the rebellion in Pasir Salak, Perak. That, would be awesome. XD
    Also, life was simpler...

    Other than that,
The Malaccan Empire during the time of Sultan Ahmad Shah 1400-1500.
Because it was the Golden Age.
    Some Guy said:
"All traders from the West and the Orient came to Malacca. The whole city at that time, full of people."
