    So let's say that you are in the shoes of a random Game Freak dev for a day. You've recently gotten into the competitive scene, and have taken a liking to a certain Pokémon. The thing is, the Pokémon sort of sucks in Smogon's standard tier (OU) / on the Battle Spot or whatever. You decide to give it a slight attribute bump so that it fares a bit better and is not a hindrance to your squad. What Pokémon do you pick to improve, how do you improve it, and why? Maybe explain how these improvements help and give us an example of what a team built around it would look like.

    Please try not to post anything that is flagrantly overpowered (Huge Power Regigias for example). Let's try to be realistic here. I'm also going to limit BST boosts to +50 total. Have fun.

    as much as i dislike its fanboys, i'd probably buff lucario to give a superior knock absorber and fairy check of sorts. the bst changes i would do are:

    HP: 70 --> 70
    Atk: 110 --> 110
    Def: 70 --> 85
    SpA: 115 --> 116
    SpD: 70 --> 80
    Spe: 90 --> 114

    besides bulking it up a tad, it gives it some much-needed speed so that at the very least it doesn't *need* its priority attacks, but can instead use them as a luxury like m-meta bullet punch. i would keep its abilities and movepool the same.

    and yes, lucario DOES suck in ou.

    Hey now don't diss the good looking pokemon.
    I would buff jellicent enough to not completely suck in ou
    100/60/70/85/105/60 -> 100/50/110/85/120/65
    I feel this thing has a decent typing, pretty good hp stat, a nice move pool and ability to make it an excellent utility Mon, the buffs are mainly to defences to make it more sturdy, and it also has reliable recovery in recover so lol. 111+ electrics would still be a problen, but aren't they always? Lol
    Do NOT use ass vest.

    id give garchomp dragon dance

    I would buff reuniclus

    HP 110 - 120
    Attack 65 - 65
    Defense 75 - 80
    Sp. Atk. 125 - 140
    Sp. Def. 85 - 85
    Speed 30 - 20

    I'd also give it some new moves including thunderbolt, ice beam, venoshock, psych up, counter, and mirror coat.

    I'd do this to revive trick room, serve as a counter to Mega Loppuny, and ect. Oh who am I kidding, I'd do this because I like Reuniclus.

    Hmmm I suppose that I should reply to my own topic. I'd make the following changes to Nidoking and then throw it into the waters to see how it would fare:

    [PokeCommunity.com] I'm bored so

    Ability: Sheer Force
    HP: 81 + 5 = 86
    Attack: 102 - 22 = 80
    Defense: 77 + 10 = 87
    Special Attack: 85 +15 = 100
    Special Defense: 75 + 12 = 87
    Speed: 85 + 30 = 115

    Chances are that this would end up in the same situation as Landorus-I, but at the same time probably not.
