Inner Peace

[Cybex Mewtwo]

I sit by the oceans edge
looking out at sea
and low and behold
I am at peace

I have suffered many a hardship
to get where I am
but this still doesn't bug me
I am at peace

People have hurt me
many tried over again
but I shrug them off
I am at peace

Emotions swirl about me
some I cannot touch
they'll come to me later but now
I am at peace

Life gives you lemons
but they don't come to me
I get oranges insted but it don't bother me
I am at peace

The sun sets over the horizon
darkness settles in
thousands of stars dot the sky
I am at peace

My friends sit with me
some young some old
some here and some not...
I am at peace

I look to the sky with hope
my friends at my side
and I thank the lord that
I am at peace

I actually got teary-eyed writing this...

Nice. I like it. 9/10. It isn't really my kind of poem though. Well, I like dark poems. Well, not dark, just...aw, nevermind. Not my fave, but still pretty good.

This is a nice poem and I kinda laughed at the Life gives you lemons

You don't know until you've tried. I'm not much of a poet, and these are made off the top of my head based on how I feel at the moment. Poetry is best written when you are not thinking of it. I'm sure you can do excellently when you try it. I hope to see what you can do someday. I would be most pleased to review and look over your poetry any day.
