    What was your most insane catch?

    Miens was when I tried to catch articuno yesterday. Throwing 46 Ultra balls at it. And ending up capturing it with one greatball :l
     
    I was against Groudon in Pokemon Ruby, I'd killed it last time round so I turned it off and then back on again, when I battled it for the second time I threw 1 GreatBall at it, no health lost and no status problems, and 1,2,3 caught:paranoid:​

    nevermind.

    I did catch Dialga in a luxury ball.. no wait, that doesen't count due to Dialga and Palkia's ridiculous catch rates.. it's like they want to be caught XD

    Catching Uxie in a Pokeball after throwing 10 dusk balls is the only one I can remember =)
     
    I caught a Dialga once with a quick ball on the first try of course. It was quite a lovely moment. :D

    It's not like I turned the game off and on until it worked or anything...
     
    i caught a kyogre with a pokeball in sapphire once.....it's pretty amazing how you can throw away a buch of ultra balls at a pokemon and not catch it but the minute you throw a lower level ball, you get it!
     
    Caught Kyogre in Sapphire on turn 1 with a Timer Ball.
     
    Mine was repeat ball on Groudon, followed closely by pokeball on frozen Mewtwo in Yellow.
     
    My most insane catch, and I'm serious is when I caught all 3 Beings of the 3 lakes.
    That's right! I caught Uxie, Mesprit and Azelf all in a Pokeball first shot but they were asleep. I was so stunned. I was literally frozen for a couple of moments!

    This is a little out of the flow, but I once caught Groudon with my level 15 Swablu.

    Admittedly, Swabbz wasn't all that I used. But my numerous attempts at fighting Groudon either wiped me out, or wiped out Groudon, since two of my main party Pokemon were good against it. So I decided to put sneakiness into the procedure.

    I sacrificed Mightyena and Swellow toward blinding Groudon. When they fainted, I threw out my Swablu. Groudon tried to KO it in one go, but since its accuracy was so lowered, it missed! I was like "OK SWABBZ YOU BETTER NOT MISS THIS" and commanded she use Sing.

    She didn't miss.

    Groudon fell asleep, and I quickly switched out Swabbz for Swampert. Swampert lowered Groudon's accuracy, and I threw an Ultra Ball. It worked.

    Me: O_O

    And this, dear fellows, is how you pwn a level 40 legendary with a level 15 Swablu.

    I accidently had an team of 35+ while I was planning on catching girantina. Luckily I had lopunny in my team. (girantina kept on shadow forcing at it which is unaffective against normal types XD) I stil was able to catch it. :>
     
    I don't have many of these myself, besides the increadable Savestate abused capture of Lugia (It never got an attack off, first turn was a Pokeball catch.)

    However, I can think of various different LPs where the LPer had something CRAZY happen. For instance, Redchocobo's Screenshot LP of Crystal had the capture of a Weezing in a Lure ball, and Slowflake's videos of Red included a capture of Zapdos in 1 ultra ball (with it asleep and at low health, but it was still a 20% chance or something.)

    Ah, I remember the days when myths like Mewtwo can only be caught with a Master Ball and the legendary birds can only be caught with Ultra Balls (or Master Balls) were widespread. So much so, I restarted to catch Mewtwo, because I'd wasted my Master Ball and thought it was senesless to even try without it. So much so that when I caught a Zapdos with a Great Ball, no one would believe me.
