my host enables SSI, yet the code <--insert text file# : blah--> (Not exact code) won't work, even if it is the correct code. I tried a million different things, I even put the url of the text file instead of the name and it did not work...

I'll need the PHP code for that...

alright, then... I'll try it tomorrow (It's getting late over here)

WHos your host? I know for a fact that freewebs doesnt support SSI or PHP, and that appears to be what your site is hosted on.

yes my whole site is coded with php i pay for my hosting of cause i have php almost even all free hosts have it

Which is weird, because it worked on Freewebs just fine...

EDIT: And yeah, we've moved. I got a better layout and better host

PHP and other languages never work in Freewebs. Freewebs only supports HTML. However there are other good free hosts who support PHP, etc.

    SSI DOES work on Freewebs.

And are you using <!--#include virtual="file.html"--> ? Also make sure that you saved the file as .shtml

if you dont mind me saying i think it would be better learning php=id method this way you only have 1 index.php (which hsa he nav links on it) and then pages of content are just blank html files which just have writing on them

    *cough*

I might convert the pages. Not sure yet.
