I just got to Giratina, and I'm trying to catch it with a luxury ball. (it matches with Giratina!) But I'm having a hell of a time catching it. I wanna give up, but It took my a while to actually find it.

Should I waist my time trying to catch it, or just give up? Is it a pretty strong Pokemon?

    I don't even have a master ball.

I havn't caught him, but I could imagine him being a strong pokemon. Perhaps try put the pokemon to sleep at a low HP or perhaps posion him - Don't give up

Well, it isn't worth a Masterball (but no prob: you don't have one.)

I have one that just sits in my PC, and I don't even know where it is due to so much reorganizing.
It's def. worth it if you are trying to fill the pokedex, but it is not as good as it seems.

But it is about the strength of an OU poke. Maybe you could use just for the type and what stabs it gets.

I think its impossible to catch it with a luxury ball. Otherwise catch it, and train it because its really strong and has cool moves. ;)

IMO, you can get a pretty good phys.wall out of it with a Impish or Bold nature...
Or an average Uber phys. or spec. sweeper, be it either adamant or modest...

In game: Yes. As with all legendries it rocks
Competetively: Again, this thing rocks. It's uber tier though, you wont be able to use it in regular games. But I use it as my uber physical wall and it does the job well :)

his HP isnt too bad, i cought mine with a great ball (freezing does wonders ^^)

it depends on your play style, some people like offence more, some viceaversa, and some like it to be evened out :\

Its HP isnt bad??? Its base 150!
Thats pretty damn good to me.

lmao... i ment it in a "very nice" manner :P

yea... it took me 3 rounds for my lvl 60 infernape to get him to his "red zone" XD

he made a nice addition to my little dragon collection... im gonna get 6 dragons best i can, and go online and get owned by everyone :D

but if you go against say... bunearry... or anything with mostly normal attacks, it would have a snowballs chance in hell XD

(thats not a set fact, thats just from personal experiance... so please dont quote me :D)

Please, I advise you to use a Dusk Ball to capture it. It is four times as reliable as a Luxury ball.

Oh and use Drifloon and a Normal Pokemon to catch it. Shadow Force takes two turns so you know what turn its going to hit, so switch into a Normal Pokemon. Drifloon is immune to all its other attacks. XD

And to answer the question: Yes! Giratina is one of the most popular Uber Walls, along with Lugia and Lati@s. It can wall especially well. Its HP is enormous, along with its defenses, it can make a heck of a wall. So please, catch it.

Kind of why you DON'T use luxury balls to catch ubers.

Don't listen to the nay-sayers. Catch it with whatever you want. I went to great lengths to catch my Regigigas with a premier ball (same chances as luxury ball). The Drifloon thing works wonders, by the way. Using my Rotom and Bibarel (Rotom's levitate subs for Drifloon's flying type), I caught Giratina without really having to worry about it at all. And it's totally worth catching. It's an unusual type combo, the first legendary ghost type, and as everyone has already said, a fantastic wall. I don't even use legendaries and I like the thing.

The closest thing i have ever seen was my neighbor catch a regirock with a pokeball.

False Swipe and Sleep Powder. Shyeah. Takes forever, though. And I had to buy a lot of sets of ten pokeballs to get that many premier balls.

Well, I like to catch my Pokemon with a Pokeball that goes most with them. (don't know why)

I'll try and catch it then. I know I might regret it later on..

    Thanks guys!
