OK, everytime I try to load myspace pages, my computer will freeze up and then close the internet page completely. But it isnt every myspace. Its only a few. And furthermore, what is Activex? I know I sound like a noo on this one, but everytime I try to load a page(like the Relient K music page) it will say "You must run Activex on this page" and then close the internet page.

So yeah, is there a way to make myspace pages work right, and then if you have to download Activex are my two questions.

EDIT: theres a typo in the name of the thred. "Is IT My computer or something on it?" Is what its supposted to say

Activex is a programming system developed by Microsoft. It can be used to run interactive multimedia, such as sound, graphics, text, etc. on websites. It's basically used to enchance the controls of a browser.

Installing it won't be bad idea, considering it won't harm your computer. If it's possible for you, maybe you should give it a try, access the page, and see if it works this time.

Ok, now that I know that I'll keep it in mind. I cant download anything because we have Microsoft XP and I'm not an administrator... Thanks though! ^-^

I would first test the page in Firefox first to see if it loads in that. Active x is not entirely safe as certain "Evil" sites can use it to attempt to exploit your computer. Most computers do have active x installed though. It would not hurt to run your Spyware scanners and anti-virus though just to be safe.
