Is mod whoring allowed?

I keep seeing threads where people post saying that the thread needs closed or they're going to tell a mod and stuff. Is that allowed here? Because at other forums I go to you're not suppose to do that and are supposed to just use the report button instead.

It's kind of sad that the question is proven to be a resounding yes, by the above post. Yes, certain members here can have the mods as lap-dogs if they so please, all they have to do is say the word. It's amazing. *reports*

Lap-dogs? Really, you know that isn't true. But I'm not going to get into all that with you (and I saw the post before any replys was made so no need for your little way to make fun of the Staff in your post).

Anyway saying "This thread needs to be closed *reports*" tells that the member and other members that threads like that isn't really needed. And also stops people from sending 20 reports on the same topic. But then again we don't need 5 different members saying the same thing after one member done said it.

No it's not breaking any kind of PC rules so it's ok.
And since it's been answered I'll lock it.
