So I want to get zapdos and about the only way I can go about it is through global trade but I have yet to see a zapdos. Is there anyway for me to see and register Zapdos in ORAS?

6th Gen Is there a way I can see zapdos?

You may just have to transfer from B/W / B/W 2, or X/Y.
Zapdos is available in Gen VI through X and Y, so Game Freak did not put it on ORAS. You can get Raikou and Thundurus though, which are arguably just as useful!
Otherwise I'd check the GTS every now and then for someone who's aware that GTS policies actually prohibit Keldeo, Mew, Diancie and the like from being traded. Or buy X/Y and start with Fennekin (other starters will give you different legendary birds).

In the GTS, choose [Seek Pokémon].
Select [Pokémon wanted], and then at the very bottom of the list of letters, choose the [What Pokémon?].
Type [Zapdos] and press the Confirm button.
