Okay, I've been looking at Ooka's Weather Tournament thread, and I'm liking this idea I came up with.

For those that haven't seen the thread, two Ubers are allowed; Groudon and Kyogre. I decided to go with the rarer of the two pokemon and chose Sun over Rain. Why? Well...

    Groudon@Leftovers
    Brave
    252HP/212atk/44def

    Swords Dance
    Earthquake
    Dragon Claw
    Fire Punch

    SD Groudon, suggested by Tortured_Soul

    Modest
    252sp.atk/252spd/6HP

    Grass Knot/Solarbeam
    HP Ice/HP Fire
    Sleep Powder
    Focus Blast/Sludge Bomb

Tangrowth has amazing sp.atk, so I'm going to take advantage of it with Chlorophyll.

    Heatran@Choice Scarf

    20HP/252sp.atk/236spd

    HP Ice
    Fire Blast/Overheat
    Earth Power

Scarfing Heatran *Heatrain* is my best choice vs. Infernape.

    Shedinja@Choice Band
    Adamant
    252atk/252spd/whatever.

    Shadow Sneak
    X-Scissor
    Aerial Ace
    Shadow Claw

LET'S SEE YOU HIT ME NOW KYOGRE! *Toxic'd* dang... ah well, it's my best hope of Kyogre counter.

    Forretress@Leftovers
    Relaxed
    252def/252HP/6atk

    Gyro Ball
    Earthquake
    Stealth Rock
    Rapid Spin

"x9000 fire damage to Forry?" I know what you're thinkin. However, Forretress dies to basically everything that's Fire-based, so I might as well use it. Spinner + sponge.

    Blissey@Leftovers
    Calm
    252def/216sp.def/40HP

    Aromatherapy
    Softboiled
    Thunder Wave
    Seismic Toss

Special sponge + Cleric. I really like Wish support, but my Aromatherapy is much more important.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To be honest...I just threw this team together as I was typing. It's probably really flawed and not that great. It could use more Sunny Day support as well.

Anyway, help me out here. Look for threats along weather-based teams more importantly.

Major Weather-based Threats: Gyarados, Kyogre, Infernape

Exeggutor has been losing much of value lately because of the advances in dark types, making Psychic rather useless. I was considering it, I'll admit. Explosion is always fun.

I don't need to worry about Blissey anymore. I figured out that Aromatherapy and Wish is illegal.

Basically, this is a defensive Groudon. "ABY, why don't you just pop on a Choice Band and kill things?" Very simple; I'm going to need the sun a LOT through the game, and this idea is a good one for a lot of survivability. Fire Blast deals with Abomasnow, while Earthquake nails T-Tar. For Rain Dance...haven't figured it out yet. Quake from Groudon hits ANYTHING pretty dang hard except for fliers and Forretress. *Hi Fire Blast!*

NO! It needs more Brave! Swords Dance Groudon is sooooooooo scary it isn't funny. You want it to be as slow as possible to make sure you get the early advantage with the weather. (btw, Fire Punch >> Fire Blast)

    Leaf Storm

"ABY you're a n00b for not putting Solarbeam on Roserade!" SILENCE FOOL! I won't always have the weather, and this is where the best move for weather game comes into play; Weather Ball. Having a 100BP Fire/Ice/Rock/Water move is a lot of fun. Leaf Storm owns like Salamence's Draco Meteor with less coverage. HP Electric handles water types, whilist Ice will deal with any dragons that like to bother me.

    I hate j00!!!11! >_<

I don't like Blissey...at all. The bottom set ensures that Blissey is destroyed, whilist the top gives me better overall coverage. I just better hope it isn't the Wish Protectin Bliss.

Lava Plume can seriously dent the likes of Tyranitar wanting to switch in to change the weather, as you can pose a threat of a burn to cripple it. HP GRASS will be more helpful here as most Kyogre in the tournament (If people are smart) will be slow so they can start the battle with their weather. (i.e. Brave Groudon, Quiet Kyogre, Brave Tyranitar, Quiet Abomasnow) Taunt can seriously cripple Blissey etc.

Call this the Dragonite wannabe, only with key power in Fire! I want BellyZard, but I don't have a Salac Berry. Anyway, set up, and sweep.

I really don't like it here. Just adds another weakness and many sweepers can do it better.

Major Weather-based Threats: Gyarados (only HP Electric stops it unless I go Stone Edge on Groudon)

Kyogre seriously does not give a damn what you do. Once it gets in 2 Calm Minds, not even Roserade can touch it in all seriousness, and you're OHKO'd by Ice Beam. Heatran won't be doing much even with HP GRASS, but at least it gives you a slight chance. Opposing Groudon won't need to worry much after Roserade goes down, especially if you decide to keep your Groudon running a tanking role. Now that I look, OMFG Mix-Ape!

    Forretress - Flamethrower
    Groudon - Grass Knot
    Roserade - Flamethrower
    Blissey - Close Combat

I really don't like it much ABY...

DD Zard fails really badly this is just an inferior Dragonite in all honestly, Belly Zard is WAY better, it sweeps teams, Fire Punch from this ohko's bulky gyarados even after a few intimidates. You will have +1 speed, Blaze activated and + 6 att and possibly a sub up =)

Just make sure your HP is divisable by 4, so salac activates after you sub, leaving you with 25% hp left.

    Comments in bold

Yeah, needs moar Jumpluff Exeggutor and Chlorophyll abusing idiots. HeatGrowth (Tangrowth) is nice and helps you with your lol Gyarados weak

Zard can force out Mixape though.

Thanks for the comments; It was 1AM, I was tired, and I was typing out as I went. I noticed one KEY problem. C.Specs Kyogre = death to this team. I could drop Charizard for Tangrowth, as this will give me a sleeper.

I'll go SD Groudon. I was thinking Tank + Groudon = win since it'll have to come back in every once in a while. If I can just SD everything and take it all down, then that'll work too.

I'll have to do something to cope with major Kyogre weakness, and Mixape. Suggestions?

Oh yeah; Anti, HP Electic was for Gyarados. Anyway, updates are made. Completely removed Charizard and needing something with grass and potentially physical.

    Dark, not Anti lol

That is why only allowing ONLY 2 ubers is stupid, Groudon and Kyogre cause over centralization, pretty much only Latias and Sp.Defensive Dialgs can counter C Specs Kyogre. Scarf is easier to counter.

    Try Shedinja ;)

I cant even mention frikkin Lanturn because your using a Sunny day team =/

    As for mixape,

    Tentacruel@leftovers
    204 HP / 74 DEF / 60 SP.ATT / 172 SP.DEF
    Calm nature

    - Toxic Spikes / Giga Drain.

Again you cant use surf due to the sun.....So try that.

Sorry for that Azelf; I was busy! *kill'd*

Replace the Charizard with Shedinja? I could...just wish Will-O-Wisp had 100% accuracy in Sun.

You can use Protect aswell somewhere here aswell ;)

    ~ Aerial Ace

With the Tentacruel i posted, thats your Infernape problem sorted aswell..

I went with the CB set so I can Ace on its anticipated switch in. I'd rather cripple with paralysis than burns.

    Front page updated.

Your still mixape weak =/, what happens if it comes in on something thats not Shedinja, say forry ?

    Tenta NOAW !!!

You sure love your Tenta; What could I replace with it?

    Either Roserade or Heatran.

Is Tangrowth coming in aswell to help with gyarados ? If not, i suggest Scarfing whoever you dont replace so you can revenge kill Gyarados, its not the most practical way, but meh.

(tries this post for the THIRD TIME!)

If I drop Roserade, I lack a powerful grass move and weather coverage. If I lose Heatran, my fire absorption won't be as good.

    What would you suggest?

tenta can still come in on fire attacks.

Although, looking at it again, if you Scarf Heatran, you can come in on Ape to revenge kill.

But i would suggest Tangrowth >> Rose, for the Gyarados counter.

I could drop to 248spd/10HP, but that'd be almost worthless. I'd might as well hit 398 speed rather than 396. The last slot is just a little bit of filler. HP is up in there there; Ice for even MORE coverage with Ice against Dragons/fliers, or HP fire to nail Skarm and Forretress. I might go fire if that's the case.

Front page to be updated here soon.

20 HP / 252 Sp.A / 236 Speed on Scarf Tran, it lets you outspeed, Zam, Sceptile and most importantly, Dugtrio =)

Hp Ice >> HP Grass, you have enough coverage with Tangrowth with that.

    Fire Blast >> Lave Plume.

Simple Azelf; I NEED to be slower to set up weather (just in case of the Quiet Kyogre), which this team basically says "k me wantz it." I may not be able to get the gun everytime, but it'll really help.
