Witching Week Jeopardy - Pokémon Edition!

Jeopardy - Pokémon Edition
This. Is. Jeopardy! Welcome to PokéCommunity's version of the quiz-show trivia game! Answer questions quickly and accurately to rack up points and win against your fellow competitors!

Note: Voice chat will not be required for this game - we'll only be using the voice channel so I can talk and share screen.

Gameplay order:

  1. A board with six categories will be presented to the players. Each of these categories will have five questions that increase in point value and difficulty.
  2. The first player will select a question from a category. After the host finishes reading the question, the players will compete to answer it by typing in the chatbox.
  3. The player that most quickly gives the correct answer, with correct spelling, will be awarded the points. Incorrect answers or incorrectly spelled answers will cost the player points.
  4. Once all questions have been answered, players will be presented with a Final Jeopardy category and question.
  5. Once the Final Jeopardy category is revealed, all players will be allowed to wager any amount their points.
  6. After the wagers have been submitted, the question will be revealed and the players will have a chance to answer. They will receive their wager if they are correct, and lose their wager if they are incorrect.
  7. The player with the most points remaining is the winner.

Rules and Notes:

  1. If there is a large number of participants then they may be asked to form teams or be split into teams by the host. Otherwise each person is playing by themselves.
  2. There are no Daily Doubles (if you don't know what this is then don't worry about it).
  3. There is only one board of questions - Double Jeopardy does not exist.
  4. Answers submitted before the host finishes reading the question will not count, which means they won't be penalized if incorrect either. The host will judge whether the answer came in before or after the question has been read.
  5. Spelling matters! If the answer is "Dewgong" and you type "Dewgonf", that is still incorrect! Jeopardy (the TV show) is fairly strict and we aim to maintain that level of strictness as well.
  6. However, there will be no need to phrase the answer as a question (as in traditional Jeopardy) since everyone is typing to answer.
  7. Participants will need to join our Discord server and be able to access voice chat to play. This is because the host will be reading the questions and sharing screen so you can see the board.

Schedule:
