I usually stuff everything that isn't pennies into my pocket (I have a phone wallet, so no actual thing to carry coins). It comes in useful when I'm attempting to buy something small and don't want to use a bill.
I rarely receive change anymore since I'm always using a card, but when I did I'd usually let the employee keep the change up to a couple dollars, or donate.
Lately I've gotten a bit... wary? About getting exact change on orders and such when I know I have to use cash, so I've been wanting to keep loose change in a piggy bank to catch that .77 cents on my purchase.
I have a change bowl and home to collect the odds and ends after I pay cash for things, although I prefer to use exact change so I have more paper money instead. I know I have a shit ton of quarters right now that I could use for something.
