Not a creative title as so to speak...

And since it's almost New Year.

Anyways, do you love to light up fireworks/firecrackers? And do you ever get injured because of that? XD

    O_o

You can only legally buy them in Northern Territory and the ACT in Australia, and it's not like America where everyone sells them illegally and stuff. They're not that big over here. You can light them and set them off here, however you have to drive for a full day, maybe more to get them and bring them back. So no. But there are some pretty cool firework shows on down at the beach and stuff, so I go to them.

Oh yeah, and about injuries, I heard on the radio at work that some guy's in hospital because he lighted fireworks and they exploded in his face. Ouch.

I'm not a fan of lighting fireworks myself, and as Eliminator Jr. said, fireworks aren't legal in Melbourne, so even if I wanted to, I couldn't just drop in and buy a packet of fireworks easily, considering how expensive they are, and how much effor it takes to actually get the fireworks in the first place.

That's too bad. I know not all countries celebrate New Year with fireworks. From what I heard off, America will light up tons of fireworks in Independence day, or July the 4th.

Reckless playing makes your day a pain in the neck...

No we usually only set off fireworks on the Fourth of July. They're illegal in Massachusetts so we have to drive up to New Hampshire to get them. That's about a two hour drive from where I live so my parents just don't bother to do it for New Year.

We've never really done anything for New Year's Eve besides staying up late and eating canned cheese and crackers. :9

This year should be a little different though, since I'll be hanging out with some friends.

The title reminds me of one of the Madagascar penguin's saying. KABOOM! :P

Anyways, in America we mostly set up fireworks in 4th of July. I know a few people in my neighborhood that sets fireworks on New Years Eve, though, but most of the time they'll set up guns. :/ As for me, I don't use fireworks because I'm afraid of getting hurt. D:

Personally, I'm afraid of fireworks. The splodey kind at least. Fountains are fine, but I had a scary experience with the kind that shoot high into the air, and since then, they've sorta made me nervous.
    But I like watching them.
    From afar. >.> <.< >.>
I'll prolly watch them shooting the fireworks off at the Space Needle in Seattle though. >3< From my place on my couch.

we light some up every year... DESPITE it being illegal here in Maryland. *shot for staying up too late *shot again for going off-topic*

we nearly got caught by the police once.

i dont get injured, coz im not the one who lights them, and i know how to use a sparkler properly.

    Sakura, you ninja!!!

No not really, because when I was four I tried shooting one up in the air but it burned up my hand and arm.

My family would only light fireworks at the park on the 4th of July. Other than that, we would never actually use it. On New Years, we would just sit in the living room, watching people at Times Square have fun. :<

Fireworks is a must at my place!
Im lucky enough to live in a place where literally everyone in the neighborhood lights up fireworks during new years :D

But just imagine if something goes wrong...

I don't know if they're legal here in Mississauga, but I'm assuming they're not since I see fireworks on special days. I actually never lit any so yeah, but I love watching them.

No, I have never set of fireworks for New Years.
