Chapter 1
The Beginning of the Adventure
19 Year old Kevin had never had an interest in any kind of Pokemon until his best friend got one for his 20th birthday. He was ready to go to Professor Oak's lab in the morning, but it was already 3:48 AM and he wasn't tired. He then fell asleep at 4:07 AM and then woke up at 6:12 AM. "Kevin, why did you only sleep for two hours?" His mother said. He responded "I was excited.". She replied "Just drink a lot of coffee...." "Will do."
Kevin was awake on his 6th cup in ten minutes and realized that he should go to sleep. He couldn't doze off so he found random things to do that interested him as a child, like the paddle ball he'd gotten for his 6th birthday. He then noticed that it was 7:14 and it didn't start until 8:45. He then walked over to the lab. Looking at his watch it said 7:32. He brought a lawn chair and a magazine.
At 8:04 he noticed a few 10 year olds coming up. He felt sad for their parents that had to come and watch them depart. He then saw a few other children at 8:22 and they were there talking about what one he wanted. One child said he wanted a Charmander, the other a Squirtle, the other a Bulbasaur. Kevin wanted a Mew. Realizing that there was only 2 more minutes left to wait, he accidentally stepped on a few of the kids' feet.
Then he saw him....
He saw Jimmy, the guy he went to grade school with. He was always getting in trouble for bringing his "awesome" Bulbasaur in. Kevin then remembered when they were in high school and his Bulbasaur started crying because of a match loss. What a baby. People followed Jimmy around with his stupid Bulbasaur. He taught the Bulbasaur to write and read. That was just sad.. "So this is your first Pokemon?" Jimmy taunted? Kevin replied, "Well, I'm crushing little kid's feet and am outside so, unless your Bulbasaur is mentally challenged why not him answer it?"
Professor Oak arrived outside his lab and was staring down at the other children and then saw Kevin at his height and his shoes.
Jimmy pulled out his Bulbasaur and Pidgey to stare and taunt while the other kids watched. How obnoxious...
Professor Oak had seen Kevin and brought him up. He was so excited, he even thought Professor Oak thought he was special. Professor Oak then asked Kevin what one he wanted and Kevin said Mew. Professor Oak then laughed really hard and gave him the choices. Kevin then chose a Charmander and was given 5 Pokeballs and a Pokedex and walked out really excited. His mom was waiting out there with the 10 year olds and other family members. She gave him a small pack that looked like a sling knapsack. She told him what was in it and walked up to route 1 and sat down to eat a snack a Pidgey then swooped down from a tree and stole his knapsack. What a jerk! He forgot he had Pokeballs and a Charmander, so he did what anybody would do. He took a big stick and whacked the Pidgey down and took his knapsack. The Pidgey was okay, it just was growling and glaring at Kevin and his Charmander.
This is a bit short.
