    Whoa Whoa Whoa...dont assume Emerald is a 3rd R/S

Since theres new Pokemon being revealed in the next Coro Coro and the New games its likely Emerald is first game of the 4th Gen

I wish that they would use some new colors, instead of the main red, blue, green, and their variations. (Yellow, Silver, and Gold were the only exceptions.) I know that the main starter Pokemon types are normally fire, water, and grass, but it would still be nice for a change.
I also think that they should try making two new games; one for girls, and one for boys. Have it for GBA, and don't change anything in the style or normal way of going through the game, but there could still be a few differences, that would appeal to each gender.

It might take off all of the belief that Pokemon is more for boys. (Most people seem to think that where I live.) I would also love to be able to design my character. You know, pick out her outfit, her hairstyle, everything. It would make it more interactive.

i like the starters being fire, water, grass but since grass is normally weak with staters they mite as well change it to electricity.

i myself think they should base the game to the manga, they almost did that in g/s/c in the end of the game by putting Red and "Blue"(green) but the storyline was way different. by this i mean they should of made gold version only for 'gold character', base saphire on saphire character red based on red. of coarse if they did that ruby would be only for contests and that wouldnt sell.:P

thatll be a great game if u can design the characters.itll give more character to them and if u have a mono team of fire u can design it red.

Pokemon should be for girls, not boys! Who needs boys?

New colors would be great, or even something that's not a color. I'm so tired of the different metallic shades and reds and blues, they really need something different. I was always hoping for the TR-centered pokemon black, but I doubt that will ever happen so a black/white theme would be nice, or some totally unrelated colors like orange and purple.

About a pokemon game for girls, it would never happen although I have no problem with it. Nintendo is likely under the impression that most pokemon gamers are guys and thus would market guy-friendly games, with the option of being a girl and a few cute pokemon thrown in for the few girl fans...there are way more girl fans than they believe, though, but they probably don't care at this point.

instead of saying "grass type sucks let's change it to electric" how about "let's buff those grass type"? =)

well although I'll love to find out more about the manga as I'm quite interested from reading the guides on serebii's place, it's hard to find a complete guide to everything in the manga up to the current volumes... however from what I read as summaries on serebii.net so far, I'm liking it a LOT in terms of a much more serious plot, and how the main characters DO lose a fair share amount at times (unlike Satoshi the Near-Invincible). Not to mention, my goodness for once Team Rocket is not a pushover! These 2 points alone sounds good enough for me if there's a game based on Pokemon Adventure ;p

Bleah. Bad idea. I am a girl and practically dislike all the cute pokemon. Then in order to be a girl, I have to buy the game with the more cute pokemon. :( :( :( Heck, both in one game is good, but the idea of changing maybe hair color or length is not to bad so the character in the game will look more like you, although I think it would be cool to be a pokemon who trains pokemon (like instead of a person as your sprite, you could be a blaziken ^_^) It would be funny!
