4th Gen Lake trouble/ Gllitch

Sorry if this thread has been done before but i couldnt see anything and now i'm panicing im playing Pokemon Pearl and i just got my icicle badge but i didnt go to the library for the lake/explosion cut scene after my last badge (when i was ment to) anyways i went to the library then beat saturn at the valor lake then went to the snow lake (acuity) and there are no grunts there just the rival so i cant get the key to do the next bit what can i do HELP I GOT 59 hours of game time racked up

He said he beat Saturn at the lake BEFORE he went to the library.

Actually, I think he said he went to the library after the 7th badge, then went to Lake Valor, then went to Lake Acuity. If so, you were supposed to go to Lake Verity after Lake Valor, then after the events at Verity, go to Lake Acuity. That should fix things, I think...
