Laptop Keyboard Help

My dad's laptop's keyboard isnt typing the correct keys on the
u,i,o,p,j,k,l and m keys we get the numbers that u would normally get if u press shift and then the key

You have the alternate keys enabled. Usually you can disable it by pressing the FN key, and another key to enable/disable it. It varies by manufacturer.
