Do you own a Laptop, Desktop or both? What do you prefer? Do you want the one you do not have?

I have both actually... kinda... the laptop is my mums but she doesn't really use it... soo that would mean its pretty much mine mwahaha...
Honestly I prefer the laptop coz you can like bring it everywhere...
I dont get your last question... seriously

I have to say I prefer owning a laptop over a desktop. My laptop died recently and needed to be sent of for repairs so I was stuck on one of the family desktops for a few weeks before heading back to school and it was just so... restrictive. I couldn't leave the room, I couldn't bring the computer around the house with me... I've gotten used to owning a portable computer so it would be strange not to have one anymore. I'm borrowing my dad's laptop here at school while mine gets back from repair. :x I definitely want a desktop in addition to my laptop, but I'd probably still get a lot more use out of my laptop just for its portability.

I own a desktop, but use the family laptop all the time since said desktop is very outdated and lacks many needed drivers. As a gamer, I'd have to say I'd prefer a desktop when given the choice, since they're much easier to change the components of for upgrading and the like; and laptops don't have the same video card power, or display abilities, or whatever. The mobility factor of laptops doesn't interest me, since I have no reason or desire to go anywhere other than my room's desk with a computer.

It depends on the situation... I like laptops because I can sit/lay anywhere I desire. I also like desktops mainly because they are cheaper and they are easier to upgrade (Someday I am gonna build my own and slap my favorite Linux distro on it!).

Desky, for easy upgrades n shizzle.

I'll get a lappy some day though, for the lulz.

    I come from a desktop family. :D

    Wait... that didn't sound right.

I come from a family of desktop owners? Yeah, that works.

My next computer will probably be a laptop, for the sake of saving space. If my room wasn't so small I'd probably stick with desktops.

    I miss my laptop. ;-;
It died in a tragic, sudden Dr. Pepper spill on the freeway.

I currently have a desktop, and it's a piece of crap. I'm going to be getting a laptop sometime in the next two months, though, so that's a good thing. :D

    Laptop!

    What do you prefer?

I must say I love my laptop. My previous computer was a laptop (and is still the most powerful 32-bit computer in my family), but I only ever got about 45 minutes of battery power out of it, so It turned out to be really a desktop replacement.
My current lappy is the most powerful computer in my house because it's 64-bit and I love it. I also get about 5-6 hours of battery life with it too.

Do you want the one you do not have?

Only if I have no choice. Laptops today are pretty powerful for what I do and that's cool with me. That said, I'm not a gamer so upgrading anything other than RAM or HDD doesn't really matter for me.

My mom owns a desktop which I USED to use all the time until I got a new one beause my old one bust.
I haven't got my own desktop but I'm okay. I prefer Laptop's anyway. But I think they are both awesome. Another reason I love laptop's are because they are portable and some are really easy to get wireless internet with. I named my laptop cookie because I was bored :)

I own a desktop, but my last computer was a laptop. I prefer desktops, simply because being confined to one room is IMO a small price to pay for being more powerful than laptops at the same price.

I have a Desktop and a really old laptop (<1995). I only use the Desktop since it actually has decent enough specs to run Win XP and connect to the Internet. My laptop is so old, I'm somewhat suprised it still works.

I plan on getting a new laptop maybe at the end of the year if possible. I definitely prefer having a laptop for the easy transportation and just taking it everywhere.

I have a desktop only and currently, I'm quite fine with that. I don't really need a laptop for anything so buying one now would almost be a waste of money.

well i own both....well i use my desktop for school and game purposes..and i use laptop for work and surfing purposes...well you can't really expirience the true sweet graphics of the new games these days....when your using a laptop....
