3rd Gen Legendary Dog Ball Percentages

Any mathematical geniuses out there in Pokemon Land?
I, like everyone else here, is trying to complete my pokedex.
To further my completion, I need to capture the Legendary Dogs. No duh.
Well, on my Fire Red version, I have already captured a Suicine (SP) with a Masterball I traded over from my Ruby version.
Now on my Leaf Green Version, I need a Entei, but I don't have a Masterball.
Master ball works 100% of the time right? That means that pokeballs, great balls, ultra balls, and all the other balls must have percentages too.
Does anyone know the chances of catching an Entei with poke/great/ultra or any other ball(Heavy Ball comes to mind)?
I'd greatly appreciate all the info I can get. Thank you.

ok I don't know much about percentages but its very hard to catch it in one turn.Its like catching Lati@s in your first turn.

What are the odds if Entei is:
Down to minimun frozen
Down to minimun paralized
Down to minimun burned/poisoned
Down to minimum asleep.

I'm not sure when it comes to percentages, but after trying to carch Entei and Suicune using different pokeballs, i have found out the odds of catching the pokemon with a certain pokemon.However, if you experiment with catching Suicune and Entei with these pokeballs, you may get different results.

Pokeball: 1.0
Great Ball: 2.5
Ultra Ball: 3.0
Net Ball (Suicune only, or it would have the same chance as a Great Ball or Ultra Ball): 3.5
Heavy Ball (Counts for Entei only, otherwise it would have the same chance as a Great Ball or Ultra Ball): 3.5
Master Ball: 5.0

As you can see, the best pokeballs to use against them are usually Net Balls, and Heavy Balls if you don't have a Master Ball.I tested these on Silver, Emerald, and Leaf Green.I might test them again on Emerald and see if the results change.

Heavy Balls aren't in 3rd generation, but you may be able to cheat for one if there is a code.Heavy Balls are currently only found in G/S/C, but i think before, someone posted codes to get Heavy Balls.

Oh, I see. Well...what about Timer balls? I could easily send over a billion trading from my ruby or sapphire version.
Do you know Timer ball percentages? How much does it go up by every turn? Does it keep going until it stops at 100%?

Timer Balls i'm not sure about, however they might go up by 2 or 5 percent per turn.

yeah but timer balls only work after some time into the battle it won't work well in short battles like with the legendary dogs

True. Entei DOES no roar and escapes.
Only 2 to 5 percent? (long drips of anime tears rolls down cheek)
And it only lasts for a while? What, does it only go up to 30 and then decides to let fate decide?
that's some real tough luck.

You could do Mean Look, then if it doesn't do roar, switch out to a pokemon with the ability that doesn't let it be blown away...I think it's Sturdy? Meh. You could try it.

Well, there's an unlietable strategie IMO :p
Just make a good Pokemon with attacks like Mean Look. Wait for 20 turns for example and hurt it a little, make it sleep or sth. After 15-20 turns give it a timer ball. It will work such like Master Ball after so many turns ;) Try it out, it may work =)

to me after 20 turns i chuck a timer ball at it and it always catch the pkmn i wanted.
4 me if u want to catch entei chuck a ultra ball 4 no reason cause u might actually catch it by luck

The Timer Ball becomes 100% more effective than a Poke Ball every 10 turns. After 30 turns, it stops becoming more effective. By then it'll be four times as effective as a Poke Ball.

As for the percentages...I have no idea.

4 times as powerful as a pokeball huh? So...isn't Ultraball 3 times as effective as a pokeball? Cuz you know, poke, great, ultra? <shrug> still, thanks for the info simon, 30 turns....so all I need is a tank with a lot of PP?
Mean Look and sturdy...My Gengar knows Mean Look and my Lairon knows Sturdy! I'll buy 6 Timer Balls, put them on zangooses and wingulls, send them over to Fire Red, and go for it

um u can buy timer balls in fr/lg!! and u mean the ability sturdy don't u cause there is no such move as sturdy, wait a sec i memorise something and forgot again don't worry about it

Edit i remember it ultra ball is not 3 times better than poke ball!! try on magickarps sometimes poke ball is better rate than ultra!! ultra ball is good at high lv. yeap that's it

ok this is how it works K
1. something with a fast sleep....Hynosis sucks with accuracy so i recommend either jynx [can mean look which works well considering thats what comes next], jumpluff or a high level breelom with spore [100% accuracy is sweet]
2. if u didn't have jynx, switch to a mean looker.
3. now if u really don't want it too wake up and roar u away, switch too something with the ability SOUNDPROOF [not sturdy].Such pokes are - Mr mime [he has hynosis if...], electrode or exploud.Cradily and its suction cup ability also works...And ends up being best against entei with STAB'ed rockslides and resistance too most of his attacks.
4. start chucking ultra balls...After awhile try timer balls.


That strategy nearly always works.Have fun.Be save.Don't speed.

Ice Demon you're a genius! I TOTALLY forgot about the move soundproof! That makes all the sense! I also have a Breloom with Spore(and is at level 35 so the repel trick will work), and my exploud in Sapphire, who's really strong. I also have packed with me my Misdrevus, capable of Mean Look.
So I buy 99 ultraballs (just to make sure, of course) and start chucking.
But...what happens when Entei runs out of PP and has to use struggle..and then eventually kills himself?

well hence u make sure he's always asleep [so when he wakes up switch back to ur sleeper]...The pt of mean look and soundproof is in the event that he does wake up...I mean the first time u see him, i'm sure u'll just want to get it over with so taking all precautions is cool.

poke ball: 20%
Great ball: [doubles] 40%
Ultra ball: 50%
Master ball: 100%
Dive ball: [underwater]: 47%
Net ball: [on water or bug]: 60%
Repeat ball: [on previously caught pokemon: up to 60%
Luxury ball: 40%
Premier ball: 20%
Nest ball: [on weaker pokemon with a huge diff.] 90%
[on pokemon with lil diff] 23%
Safari ball: 40% chance,
the ones with like on x or x or so, if oyu dont use it with that type, the chances may be only up to 30%
