HOLY SFDLAKSDF is it ugly. I mean, subSilver was ugly before. This... is worse! The layout doesn't flow at all~! I run on a big monitor, and the site heading... is tiny. There is like... no continuality in the layout at all.
The AdminCP, if possible, is even uglier. It uses hover links... which turn the cell orange. Yes, orange. Ugly as all get out.
It's hard to navigate. I'm looking at it, and I have no idea where I would go to mod a person.
Would I go to "Forums", "Users and Groups", or "Permissions"? We'll have to find out, now won't we?
User Permissions... are confusing me. Do these override forum or global permissions? To switch between sections... you have to click a green box or something. And then the permissions list changes. What?
Oh! Moderator Permissions are there in a drop down box! Same with Admin Permissions!
...nope, don't add Mods there.
You can apparently change forum permissions on a user level. That's cool enough.
Banning appears to be done under Users & Groups instead of under Maintenence. That's where I would look first... I don't know about you guys.
There's a Permissions tab. It looks like the user one, with a bunch of links for permissions. I'm confused. What's the difference?
The Posting tab looks okay. Simple enough, I think. Not seeing much AJAX here. There's a BBCode tab where I guess I can add my own BBCodes? Erm... what ones are already there?
Forum management... wtf. It's done with little buttons. Not dropdowns, not text. Little buttons. Erm, dudes, that's like... not working well.
Hey look! This is where you add moderators! When you go to add a moderator through this nasty little set-up... it has all the mod permissions set to No as default. That makes adding mods quite difficult.
...hey, back under Permissions. I see where you can add Gmods. About the time that phpBB did that.
I'm staying away from the Styles tab. It's scarily simple. Which means it must all be done via the files still, and not a database. Shame on you guys.
Oh wait, you can edit them via the admincp. Nice I guess. But you still have to upload themes I think to work on them. Bleh.
Maintenence tab looks good. Logs and database stuff. Good. Can't run queries though? Darn. And what exactly is a "User Log" O-o
System Tab looks pretty good too. And it has an update manager. Nice.
It looks like Avatar sizes are still global... not usergroup or user defined. What a shame.
They have a Jabber option? Interesting.

The UserCP is ugly... and hard to navigation. Too much clicking to get where you want to go. I'm seeing very little/no AJAX on this. What a shame.

There is no button on the PM page to send one. There is only the Compose link in the sidebar. Uhm... won't be sending many PMs I see.
Oh God. Adding a forum... if you thought IPB 1.3.x was annoying... this is even worse. You have to click on box after box after box @_@~! What kinda crack were they on when they built the add new forum?
A tab to get out of the AdminCP would be nice...........
Haha. I tried to just add the forums without applying permissions. And they aren't there. =_= I'm not clicking any of those stupid boxes.

Overall? I give phpBB a 4/10. It has some nice new features... I saw a few while bouncing around that admin panel, but it makes no sense.
It would've been a 3/10 except... well, I like the default Admin color. =/
