You get the paintings by beating the Master Rank contests with your Pokemon having more than 5 stars or hearts in the Results.

Anyway, I just finished the contests last night in my Ruby, and now I've got a nifty Bronze Trainer Card. Soon, I'll trade these prize-winners into Emerald so it'll be easier to beat them...
