Lugia Neo Genesis Card question

I have a Lugia card from this series but the foil comes off the portrait as well is this normal or is it a misprint? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I took a picture but the image is hard to see the foil on the other parts. It is a lot easier to see in real life.

I don't know if this is due to the lighting or not but it looks like your entire card is foiled. If that is indeed the case then I'm afraid your card is fake because Holo rares only have foil on the portrait and not on the rest of the card.

I took a few pictures of it. I got a better picture of the foil going off the portrait as well. It isn't fake because I got this out of a pack long ago and placed it in my binder immediately. I just didn't notice this after so many years.

Well pulling it from a pack years ago is no guarantee that it is the real deal. I know I was not every knowledgeable at all when this card first came out back when I was 10...

Anyway, the back is the real deal. I'd consider it damage rather than a misprint... as would most collectors.

It's definitely not a normal thing, though. At least for cards from Neo Genesis, anyway.

As far as I am aware, it typically isn't. Does not qualify it as a misprint, though. Misprints only pertain to the text and symbols on the card, not things like the foil layer. It may well technically be an error (factory error for a single sheet, maybe), but not a misprint.

To be fair, fakes can also come in packs (fake packs) so this can't always be a good way to determine if the card is real or not.
