    Magneton@Leftovers/Salac Berry
    Sassy Nature
    -Metal Sound
    -HP Grass
    -Thunderbolt
    -filler

Not sure about the last move.

    Magneton @ Leftovers
    Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
    - Metal Sound
    - Hidden Power [Grass]
    - Substitute/Thunder Wave
    - Thunderbolt

IMO HP Fire>HP Grass for NB because Magneton traps steels in battle with it. HP Fire kills the trapped Steel-types.

T/Bolt, HP Fire, Subsititute, Metal Sound not sure about EVs.
Definitely needs SAtk and Spd, along with some Def, and possibly HP.

Actually, a Maggy's EVs never contain Defense. Whatever isn't put into Speed and Sp.Attack goes into HP. There is a point with HP [Fire]. though, since it effectively OHKOs Forry (As long as you keep a watchful eye for Earthquakes on the switch) not to mention killing your opponent's Magneton (If they have one), but it comes at the penalty of being owned by Swampert. Oh, and having Thunder Wave rather than Metal Sound (I.e. a Thunderbolt, Hidden Power, Substitute, Thunder Wave set) has also worked well for me, but that's really a matter of taste and team dynamics. ^^

Anyways, yeah, Magneton's primary purpose is to kill of Skarm, although with HP [Grass] it also handles Swampert (And Dugtrio if you're using the Salac build), and with HP [Fire] it handles Forry and other Magnetons as well as Steelix if you hit it on the switch.

yeah that too...didn't think about it because I use Elitegross instead of CBGross

Why is Metal Sound mainly suggested for Magneton? HP Fire looks better then HP Grass.

Metal Sound is suggested for Magneton and none other because:
1)it is the only special that learns it (not including D/P)
2)Metal Sound allows it to counter Blissey
    3)i can't remember why else

HP Fire > HP Grass. Magneton traps steel types than HP Fire's them to their fiery doom. Or in Skarmorys case, Thunderbolt it.

    Adjustments from all comments:

    Magneton@Leftovers
    Sassy/Modest Nature
    -Metal Sound
    -HP Grass
    -Thunderbolt
    -Thunderwave/Substitute

Now, which one. Thunderwave or Substitute? I`d like a pro or a good pokemon rater to answer this.

depends on what you want to do, substitute allows you to stall a little more, while thunder wave lets you outspeed your oponent, though it can be hard if they have something like earthquake which would OHKO you.

    I say sub personally
    *die limit die*

Hidden Power Fire is a good idea. Magneton has Magnet Pull, a trait that traps Steel-types in battle with it. Since Steel is weak against Fire, Magneton can easily do away with them.

Thunderbolt, Thunderwave, and Metal Sound are good moves too. You could even go for a ThunderDancer.

No! No ThunderDancing! T-bolt,T-wave,Sub,HP Fire IMO.

    Magneton @ Leftovers
    Sassy Nature
    -Thunderbolt (Keeping)
    -Metal Sound (Keeping)
    -HP Grass / Fire (?)
    -Substitute

It`s really hard to get a perfect opinion.
