Allright, just please ignore the heading lol. Arrogant sorry :\

This is the 2nd Eddition Fix.

Posidon (Kingdra) (M) @ Life Orb
    Ability: Swift Swim
    EVs: 124 HP/132 Spd/252 SAtk
    Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
    - Ice Beam
    - Rain Dance
    - Hidden Power [Electric]
    - Surf
Special Sweeper. Best Rain Lead. Speed EV's are there for a reason, to outspeed annoying Hera Leads and most importantly BRELOOM.

    ---

    Air-Walker (Bronzong) @ Damp Rock
    Ability: Levitate
    EVs: 252 HP/60 Def/196 SDef
    Relaxed nature (+Def, -Spd)
    - Gyro Ball
    - Hypnosis
    - Rain Dance
    - Earthquake
Acting as a very efficient second Rain Dance setter and a fabulous mixed wall.

    ---

    Steel-Traper (Magnezone) @ Leftovers
    Ability: Magnet Pull
    EVs: 60 HP/196 Spd/252 SAtk
    Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
    - Thunderbolt
    - Hidden Power [Fire]
    - Flash Cannon
    - Magnet Rise
This is a new addition to the team, what this does it gets rid of bad Steels that give me a hard time and that I don't want to waste Swamperts HP Electric on :p This mainly was built to deal with Metagross sets and even enemy Bronzong. EV's Outspeed Metagross and HP Fire isn't weakened by the rain, it is a normal attack.

    ---

Life Jack (Floatzel) (M) @ Life Orb
    Ability: Swift Swim
    EVs: 200 HP/116 Atk/100 Def/16 Spd/76 SDef
    Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Waterfall
    - Bulk Up
    - Crunch
    - Ice Fang
I tried Bulk Up passer but didn't work, Physical Sweeper.

    ---

    Ludicolo (M) @ Leftovers
    Ability: Rain Dish
    EVs: 192 HP/108 Spd/80 SAtk/128 SDef
    Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
    - Grass Knot
    - Ice Beam
    - Leech Seed
    - Rain Dance
This is a great poke. EV's to outspeed Hera again, they annoy me. Special Wall/ Sweeper.

    ---

    Swampy (Swampert) (F) @ Leftovers
    Ability: Torrent
    EVs: 240 HP/200 Def/68 SAtk
    Quiet nature (+SAtk, -Spd)
    - Earthquake
    - Hydro Pump
    - Roar
    - Hidden Power [Electric]
My Lovely Mixed-Tank, it has been playing really well with HP Electric and it's funny when they play out Skarmory thinking they can live through me or set their SR and Spikes.

    ---

Yeah, any comments or suggestion are most welcomed.

After experimenting on variouse types of teams, of all sorts, of copying of other people and trying their ideas out I came to the conclusion that one of the most effective teams in Pokemon is Rain Dance.

Rain Dance is usually faced with threats such as Breloom who screws things up and even Hera can come in and really deal a strong blow to you. Setting the rain up was sometimes a problem. SpecMenc leads with Draco Meteor just slautered the lead without backup. However, I have done something here that I think is one to something. Please check it out.

Poseidon (Kingdra) (M) @ Damp Rock / Life Orb
    Ability: Swift Swim
    EVs: 124 HP/132 Spd/252 SAtk
    Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
    - Dragon Pulse / Hidden Power [ELC]
    - Ice Beam
    - Rain Dance
    - Surf

Special Sweeper and Rain Starter: Kingdra is the best Rain Dance Lead. No more, no less. with that spread, it ensures to outspeed that annoying Breloom with an Ice Beam. I had Hp Electric on it for gyara, but meh. It can sweep teams unaided. It looks alright. I'd recommend Life Orb.

    ---

    Air-Walker (Bronzong) @ Damp Rock
    Ability: Levitate
    EVs: 252 HP/60 Def/196 SDef
    Relaxed nature (+Def, -Spd)
    - Explosion
    - Gyro Ball
    - Hypnosis
    - Rain Dance

Mixed Wall, Second Rain Starter: Bronzong is lovely in RD teams, what this does is takes care of pesky little smarty things with explosion or Hypnosis ftw. Rain Dance naturally helps it live more fire attacks from silly garchomp if it decides to stay in.Unfortunately, I'm not an expert on Bronzong, so I'll leave this open.

    ---

Chicken Tacco lolwut (Ludicolo) (M) @ Leftovers
    Ability: Rain Dish
    EVs: 200 HP/108 Spd/80 SAtk/120 SDef
    Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
    - Grass Knot
    - Ice Beam
    - Leech Seed
    - Toxic
Wierd Sweeper Supporter Wall think: Not changing this set at all, it works perfectly for the teams, 3HKO Gyara and even does well against suicine even after 3 Calm Minds. tbh I tried this set off someone on Smogon and it has been doing great. Sucks in so much HP a turn it's scary and can hit back well. It also outspeeds Hera that switches in my Grass Knot with Ice Beam. Ahh, defensive Ludicolo. It looks okay.

    ---

Life Jack (Floatzel) (M) @ Leftovers
    Ability: Swift Swim
    EVs: 40 HP/248 Def/220 Spd
    Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
    - Bulk Up
    - Waterfall
    - Baton Pass
    - Pursuit / Thunder Fang / Ice Fang

Physical Sweeper, Bulk Passer: I love this here, it sets so many things and helps even with vire, Baton Pass passes the bulk ups. It outspeeds both Starmie and Infernape. Starmie basically Baton Passing into Vire that gets Bulks + Speed Boost. This is a new one. I'm more of a fan of sweeping Floatzel.
    ---

Abby (Electivire) (F) @ Expert Belt
    Ability: Motor Drive
    EVs: 252 Attack / 200 Speed / 56 HP
    Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Cross Chop
    - Earthquake
    - Thunder
    - Ice Punch

I think enough reason has been givin for this. I would like to see a solid Phys Wall here, but Rain Dance doesn't have time to stall, Unless you are Ludi.

Since Rain Dance Is going to be running, I think Thunder should be a good option over Thunderpunch.
    ---

    Swampy (Swampert) (F) @ Leftovers
    Ability: Torrent
    EVs: 240 HP/200 Def/68 SAtk
    Quiet nature (+SAtk, -Spd)
    - Earthquake
    - Hydro Pump
    - Roar
    - Stealth Rock

Physical Wall/ Mixpert: This does wonders to these team, phazing works great with the mix set and SR + Roar on mixpert we all know causes major destruction. It looks fine, but if I were you, I'd really want to squeeze Icebeam or Avalanche in that moveset.

    So... Yeah :p

I can't spot any denting weaknesses. Good.

Believe me, there is no such thing as a perfect team. Especially weather. ESPECIALLY rain dance teams. Having no lead capable of RD set-up without the actual move costs you a slot and gives them a chance to set up. Ah well, i shall rate:
Posidon (Kingdra) (M) @ Damp Rock
    Ability: Swift Swim
    EVs: 124 HP/132 Spd/252 SAtk
    Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
    - Dragon Pulse
    - Ice Beam
    - Rain Dance
    - Surf

    Fair enough
    ---

    Air-Walker (Bronzong) @ Damp Rock
    Ability: Levitate
    EVs: 252 HP/60 Def/196 SDef
    Relaxed nature (+Def, -Spd)
    - EQ
    - Gyro Ball
    - Hypnosis
    - Rain Dance

Mixed Wall, Second Rain Starter: Bronzong is lovely in RD teams, what this does is takes care of pesky little smarty things with explosion or Hypnosis ftw. Rain Dance naturally helps it live more fire attacks from silly garchomp if it decides to stay in.
You dont wanna get blowing up your primary source of special walling. Otherwise fine.

    ---

Chicken Tacco (Ludicolo) (M) @ Leftovers
    Ability: Rain Dish
    EVs: 200 HP/108 Spd/80 SAtk/120 SDef

Never used this poke before, Ill leave it alone

Life Jack (Floatzel) (M) @ Leftovers
    Ability: Swift Swim
    EVs: 252 HP/6Att/252 Spd
    Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
    - Bulk Up

Thats a better passer spread IMO. Moveset's Fine

Abby (Electivire) (F) @ Expert Belt
    Ability: Motor Drive
    EVs: 40 HP/244 Atk/184 Spd/40 SDef
    Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Cross Chop

    - Thunderpunch
    - Ice Punch

I think enough reason has been givin for this. I would like to see a solid Phys Wall here, but Rain Dance doesn't have time to stall, Unless you are Ludi.
    Yay for physical Vire

    Swampy (Swampert) (F) @ Leftovers
    Ability: Torrent
    EVs: 240 HP/200 Def/68 SAtk/Att
    Quiet nature (+SAtk, -Spd)
    - Earthquake
    - Hydro Pump/Waterfall
    - Roar
    - Stealth Rock

Physical Wall/ Mixpert: This does wonders to these team, phazing works great with the mix set and SR + Roar on mixpert we all know causes major destruction.
Ok, i use fully physical but w/e

    So... Yeah :p

As far as rain dance teams go, i like it. It's not as offensive as I'd like, I'd ditch Ludi for a speciasl sweeper in case Kingfre gets KOed while setting up.
Im no expert on these teams, but it looks OK :)

Nothing can deal with a DD Gyara, the only possible solution is exploding Bronzong, but that's a really bad one. Remove Electivire for Zapdos, better way for dealing with Gyara and nice resists. Swampert should be entirely physical, that way he can take advantage of the bulk ups being passed to him.

    Last edited:
Zapdps could play really well here. Also I don't see how making Swampert fully physical will benfit this at all. I would be running a set composed of earthquake, Roar, SR and?? The Bulk Pass wouldn't be that usefull. I will try it though.

Waterfall over surf for STAB, or avalanche is a good alternative for ice beam :)
I think he's saying hypothetically, It's meant for Vire but if you think about it a bulk pass could work. Its like cursepert without the speed reduction, which is never a bad thing

Bulk Up Passing is mainly focused on Vire correct, but why not try and benifit, I say Mixpert benifits well from Bulk Up. He still gets the "power" to kill bad naughty things like Hippowdon and Rypherior but then still hast STAB earthquake Bulked Up.

Taunt >>>> Pursuit on Floatzel or Skarmory and other PHazers are just gonna laugh at you, it also makes passing so much easier.

You will have a mess of trouble if Magnezone decides to trap that Bronzong of yours. Powerful sweepers can wear down Kingdra really quickly and will expose your lol walling. Honestly I'd run a Shed Shell on Bronzong because when that dies, you're pretty much toast.

This team doesn't have an answer for almost every sweeper in the game (especially Tyranitar who screws over the rain) so you'd better be ready. you can't switch into Salamence, Heracross, etc.

For a team that is designed to outsweep things it doesn't sweep very well. Vire is pretty overrated (as in hi Swampert! Bye Motor Drive!) and really, bulky waters wall your entire team except Electivire...and this is where the rain will work against you since STAB, rain powered Surf attacks are going to hurt, and Swampert can kill with Earthquake.

Yeah but why not focus on attack when you could potentially raise it with Bulk Up? Avalanche and Waterfall would hurt either way.

Because if you give Floatzel mass numbers of att evs Skarms brave bird etc and other phys attacks will waste it seeing as its rather frail, but with def evs it allows you to tank very nicely after a bulk up, its like EspyJump, its not meant to sweep, its more of a team player, after a Bulk up you get 369 Attack and 313 Defense to go with its 321 HP and 352 Speed.

I was talking about Swampert. =x

I'm going to agree, especially since this team has no trouble with physical walls.

    Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 Sp. Atk, 20 Spd, 132 Def, 104 Sp. Def
    Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
    - HP ELECTRIC
    - Ice Beam / Dragon Pulse
    - Rain Dance
    - Surf

Special Sweeper and Rain Starter: Kingdra is the best Rain Dance Lead. No more, no less. with that spread, it ensures to outspeed that annoying Breloom with an Ice Beam. I had Hp Electric on it for gyara, but meh. It can sweep teams unaided.

Sorry, bad. HP ELECTRIC firstly. Otherwise, you are walled by Bulky Waters. (Yes, that includes Gyarados, and definately Empoleon...) Second slot is either Ice Beam or Dragon Pulse, they both do the same more or less, they both OHKO all dragons, with the only difference being Dragon Pulse is STAB without the coverage of Ice Beam. Kingdra already outspeeds everything other than Ubers in rain, so those Speed EV's are completely crapola. Make it more bulky to better lead please.

    ---

    Air-Walker (Bronzong) @ Damp Rock
    Ability: Levitate
    EVs: 252 HP/60 Def/196 SDef
    Relaxed nature (+Def, -Spd)
    - Earthquake
    - Gyro Ball

You don't want to be exploding your 2nd Rain Dancer. Kingdra is too fragile to be relied upon to do all the setting.

    ---

Chicken Tacco (Ludicolo) (M) @ Leftovers
    Ability: Rain Dish
    EVs: 200 HP/80 SAtk/128 SDef/100 Def
    Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
    - Grass Knot
    - Ice Beam
    - Leech Seed
    - Toxic / Rain Dance
Wierd Sweeper Supporter Wall think: Not changing this set at all, it works perfectly for the teams, 3HKO Gyara and even does well against suicine even after 3 Calm Minds. tbh I tried this set off someone on Smogon and it has been doing great. Meh. If you got those EV's from Smogon, those 108 would have been for a Swift Swim supporter set. You don't need them anymore, so more defense please.

    ---

    Life Jack (Floatzel) (M) @ Leftovers/Life Orb/Choice Band
    Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 Atk, 16 Spd, 240 HP or 116 Atk, 16 Spd, 200 HP, 78 Sp. Def, 100 Def (Bulk Up)
    Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Crunch
    - Waterfall
    - Brick Break
    - Ice Fang/Bulk Up

Physical Sweeper, Bulk Passer: I love this here, it sets so many things and helps even with vire, Baton Pass passes the bulk ups. It outspeeds both Starmie and Infernape. Starmie basically Baton Passing into Vire that gets Bulks + Speed Boost.

Either full out Physical Sweeper or don't use it.

    ---

Abby (Electivire) (F) @ Expert Belt
    Ability: Motor Drive
    EVs: 252 ATK / 176 SPD / 80 SP. ATK
    Lonely nature (+Atk, -Def)
    - Cross Chop
    - Earthquake
    - Thunderbolt
    - Ice Punch

I think enough reason has been givin for this. I would like to see a solid Phys Wall here, but Rain Dance doesn't have time to stall, Unless you are Ludi.

Needs more T-bolt plesh. Also, those EV's, I don't know what they were for... Please, Lonely nature.

    ---

    Swampy (Swampert) (F) @ Leftovers
    Ability: Torrent
    EVs: 240 HP/212 Def/56 SAtk
    Quiet nature (+SAtk, -Spd)
    - Earthquake
    - Hydro Pump
    - Roar / Stealth Rock
    - HP ELECTRIC / Ice Beam

Physical Wall/ Mixpert: This does wonders to these team, phazing works great with the mix set and SR + Roar on mixpert we all know causes major destruction.

HP ELECTRIC helps you over Gyara, Ice Beam is simply nice on other Bulky grounds, Grass switch ins and helps against CB Garchomp on EQ etc.. One or the other with Roar and SR please, it should be relied upon to do both.

Firstly, never use that as a thread name, people will laugh at you...

Secondly, they have a reason too. This team wouldn't hold up all that well. Exploding your only Rain Dance starter after Kindgra will only help your opponent. Kingdra is too frail to set it up alone. Also, pick between either Floatzel or Electivire. I don't know if you've noticed, but the only pokemon weak to electric on your team is Floatzel, so Electivire is sorta null if you can use Floatzel already. Floatzel also kills many many threats with Life Orb in rain using those sets there.

Brick Break - Weavile, Tyranitar, Blissey, Snorlax, Porygon-Z etc.
Crunch - Cresselia, Dusknoir, Gengar, Alakazam, Azelf, Uxie, Mesprit etc.
Ice Fang - Garchomp, Salamence, Dragonite, Gliscor etc.
    Waterfall (STAB) - Others.

    So yeah, rework it please.

    ~L_H

So many wrongs said by you yet so many good comments.
1-) Dragon Pulse and Ice Beam don't work together, good point. However, the spread I used is for one reason and one reason only. Outspeeding Breloom. Breloom is what gives me trouble here and SpecMenc also kicks my ass. That is when I switch to Bronzong.
2-) Kingdra is not Fradgile at all. 1 weakness pokemon and can live variouse attacks and halves thunderbolt and has no touble generally.
3-) Floatzel hasn't been working lately, I agree with the set and Electivire I will be replacing with my own steel killer, Magnezone.
4-) Ludi was also given speed to outspeed annoying Heracross and no I didn't get them from Smogon.
5-) HP Electric on Swampy?? Intresting I must say. Roar with SR is helpful, but I see where you are going. Having more coverage and roaring to kill, will try it out.
6-) Yeah I shouldn't have name the team like that :P I guess I was arrogant again, sorry lol
Edit: Bronzong exploder will pretty much go down the drain. Earthquake it is. Maybe special Zong.

Sorry for double post, I just re-eddited the team check it out please. Speed EV's on Ludi and Kingdra are explained and they wont be changing.

oh yeah lol, go dang lol. I messed up again lol pardon me, my bad.
I was thinking of how much speed kabutops needed to outspeed Hera in rain, damn -_- sorry about that.

I just have to say that while vire is overrated as it is, running Cross Chop/EQ/Ice Punch with Thunderbolt over Thunderpunch is really a disgrace to pokemon. You know, it's honestly kind of funny when the opposing vire counter isn't Skarmory (and skarmory can't even counter Vire anyways lol) so it's honestly a load of pointlessness. I'd much rather hit Milotix and other waters harder. Also running Tbolt weakens your other attacks, something vire cannot afford to lose (its power)

Also Kingdra isn't fragile with defenseiove base stats only 5 points away from Celebi and Jirachi :P

But really why do you need to get rid of steels with Megnezone when almost all of your pokemon resist moves of attacking Steels like Metagross and defensive steels get slaughtered by Rain Dance STAB Surfs.

    Thanks for that Anti
I thought Magnezone would get me through ugly things that live the surf and set on my non-spinner team, but I soon relized it wont matter cause they will SR on the switch (Bronzong)
For now. Floatzel isn't doing anything for the team and neither is Ludi....
I think Kabutops is just more stable that Floatzel, lovely thing about Kabutops is that they will usually try and hit bronzong with fire and it is fun for it to take a flamethrower set the rain and Kabutops just come into flamethrower like nothing and sweep some pokes. I usually predict switches and SD the Kabutopes to get a monsterous STAB SE and Waterfall.

    Kabutopes for Floatzel
    Raikou for Magnezone

    and not sure on ludi.

    What you think?

I ran a spin-off of this team, keeping Electivire and Ludicolo.
Replaced Floatzel with a bulkybro, and I won every game I've played so far.

Ludi comes in handy for end game, I was down 5-2 last game and made a
Bronzong and Ludi Rain dance, hypnosis, and surf sweep.
