    Ack, yet another mobile game incompatible with my phone. I'm just disappointed that it's another gacha. I hope the game doesn't end up sucking because of it. If I get a new phone I'll try it out.

    Re: steering, maybe they should offer more control options somehow. It's important that they get the steering controls right. That's a huge part of the game.
     
    I started playing yesterday. The characters I got first were Toad and Peach.
    The steering does feel weird but I already got used to it ngl, though they can still fix that since for circuits that need a lot of steering it's annoying. I find it enjoyable so far nonetheless.
    I was also lucky yesterday since I already got Pauline.

    After playing Mario Kart 8 for a while, I'm having a difficult time adjusting to this one.

    Also I thought double item boxes were enough, so of course I don't like triple.
     
    Surprised more people aren't upset by this - this is pretty aggressively monetised, especially for Nintendo. If this was coming from, say, EA or Ubisoft, people would be up in arms. Nintendo get a free pass for this kind of behaviour...why, exactly?

    The game is decently enjoyable with some obvious flaws and the gacha aspect that is beaten to death at this point. I tried the gold pass free trial but besides the extra goods from presents; which aren't worth it, 200cc is noticeably not designed for the controls of this game. Controls aren't great but I've gotten pretty good at them by now, I was using auto-drift until the game taunted me by telling me manual drift existed so now I'm using that. Nicest thing is that they removed a stamina system that was present in the beta. The characters and car parts are all extremely similar besides minor differences so there doesn't feel like any incentive to pull from the gacha either, it's just there. I can just save up coins to buy my favourite if I want to, the shop rotates stock every day. I can get 5 stars with just the junk I already have as long as I get first place.

    I might play it just to kill time when I'm bored, or just to keep up with the cups they release since I already hit the time gate.
     
    Picked it up a bit late but it seems fine to me overall. Do agree the controls take a bit to get used to, and I'm not sure how much I'll play, but eh, fun enough so far. Just started that free trial.

    Where's Luigi though!? If he doesn't come out by end of the month to tie in with the LM3 release something's off there.
