Master: A masterball fanfic

I wanted to write about a Master-ball prototype that has a particular flaw with it, but I haven't decided what the flaw would be
Any suggestions?

I don't really know. It could just not work, or it could be indestructible from the inside, but really weak from the outside :P

That could make for some interesting situations. I can see it now.

Trainer: "Masterball, go!"

*masterball misses poke and shatters on the ground*

Trainer: "..."

or

Trainer: "Masterball, GOOOO!"

*pokemon sits there, masterball hits it, and instead of catching, it simply blows up*

I've got an idea: How about the Master Ball has the potential to seriously injure a Pokemon whenever you throw it out?

Okay, so basically you're saying that you want to write a fic about a master ball and...the rest should be figured out by someone else?

...

Need I even say this? There's not nearly enough material in there for a proper fanfic plot; not even a one-shot. I mean, how much can you make of that? "Go, master ball! ZOMG, it's flawed I want my money back! End.". That's just not going to cut it. Good fanfiction takes more than a random gimmick like that; you need something that you can spin a whole story around, the flawed master ball could be a plot device, but it just doesn't have what it takes to constitute the entire contents of a fic. :\ Besides, this section is reserved solely for the actual fanfiction and you need a fully written chapter of acceptable quality to post before starting a topic here; debate on ideas and such goes in the lounge. *Reportedness*
