    Whose artwork do you prefer? MATO's cute chibi-style work or Yamamoto-san's awesome and cool artwork?

    I preffer both but I go for MATO's work by a slight degree... MATO's drawing were so cute... o.o I mean Satoshi did a good job of portraying Yellow and all... but Yellow is much more adorable in MATO's work... ^_^
     
    xD Yea, they did grow up, but a bit too quickly? I like the way Red looked the most when MATO left him. Red has SHINY HAIR now.
     
    MATO.. Everytime I look at Satoshi's work, I wonder, "I wonder what they'd have looked like if MATO had drawn them?" Everytime I look at any piece of art from the manga, I wonder "Hmm.. Did MATO draw this, or Satoshi?" It's not that I don't like Satoshi's work, I just prefererred MATO's so much better.. Like Outskate said, Red's hair is so shiny now, and Blue's hair is totally different.

    I kinda wished he'd had made them "grown up" without changing their hair so much.. I adored MATO's style of Red. XD

    ...although MATO would be a more popular chioce (He did start off the PokeSpecial series on HIS art form, maybe we havent fully adapted to Satoshi's new style yet)

    You know that MATO was rumored to be a girl, right? XD It explains the chibi style and all. Besides, some manga-ka use aliases to hide their genders. =D
     
    I'd really like to see a MATO style Ruby and Sapphire. It would be so cool. And yea, the new Blue looks completely different. Anyone want to give a before-after thing?
     
    *hides* I seem to be the only one who likes Satoshi more. ^^ His art is IMO cooler and more mature than Mato's. I don't like Mato's chibi style. It doesn't fit the manga IMO. *hides again*
     
    I like Mato better for his/her chibi-ness.Shatoshi's art is ok.
     
    OWW!!! I've been waiting for a topic like this!

    Well, I like the way Mato draws the characters better than Satoshi. But Satoshi is far better at backgrounds and Pokemon (except the cute ones. ^___^). Take Lance and Giovanni for example: Mato makes Lance look like a cute wi'll teenager (with cool hair), and Satoshi makes Lance look more his age (with cool hair). ^_^ Mato makes Giovanni look like a big, fat buffoon, and Satoshi makes Giovanni look more evil and cool. So I'd profare Mato's Lance, but Satoshi's Giovanni.

    The way Mato drew all of the main characters up to Silver was great. I wish I could have seen his version of Chris... Satoshi made Gold look... Meh... You know...

    I like MATO better. I think his art style is really great and cute. I like Satoshi too ,but I still like MATO better.
     
    I like both, but probably Satoshi's style a bit more (surprise!). MATO's style is more unique than Satoshi's, but some characters just don't work with the chibi thing, and therefore Satoshi's style is much more versatile.
     
    I would prefer Satoshi's drawing, looks more mature, MATO's drawing's is too chidish... Lance looked like a little boy leh... And I'm trying to master Satoshi's drawing style too, maybe I like Satoshi's more cos I started buying Pokespecial when MATO stopped drawing(unknowingly at first). I guess I'm more used to Satoshi's manga style.
     
    I like Mato he`s style`s more cute.But still Satoshi's pretty good and a lot bettter than I could ever draw.
