2nd Gen mew glitch problem

    i've only made it to the point where i fly to cerulean city and i have 3 problems; the menu won't appear, the text wont appear, and i cant battle the guy im supposed to, what's wrong?
     
    There is no way to get mew besides using cheats ^^, so use those if you want him ^^, Thanks!
