4th Gen Mew Question

Okay, about a week ago I was just looking at the trades on GTS when I came across a Mew that I could actually trade for. I'm not an expert on this legend so I wanted to see if someone could tell me if this Mew is legit or not.

It is an English Mew with a non-event OT, so it is illegit. Or rather, someone hacked to get the item needed to catch the Mew, as the Event Item needed to reach Mew was only given out in Japan.

yep its probley hacked the only one given away in the U.S was the toys R us one and a different one from long ago

It may be a Pokémon from the hacked item (which for most Pokémon and for the game's data is 'legit') or a hacked Pokémon.

Not like it's going to screw up your game despite the fact that it was hacked in one way or another, though. I say trade for it.

It might not be legit but yeah.. it won't screw up your game or anything.

I wasn't worried that it was going to mess up my game (I've gotten quite a few hacks from GTS). I guess I'll just have to hold it until my friend looks through my PC Box and wants the hack since he doesn't care if their hacks or not, as long as he gets one to finish his dex. But that's okay because I just got a WISHMKR Jirachi on GTS.

That Mew was found at Faraway Island, in Emerald, with the Old Sea Map.. Maybe that Click used the Warp Door code to reach the Island-- If he did it, Mew IS legit-- Hacked Mew means a Mew created by a calculator or encountered in the Wild with the proper code---
