Okay, here's the deal. I've had a computer microphone for about half a year (I'm just guessing) and all of a sudden it stopped working. I went out to the store to get a new one and when I tried it out it also didn't work. Do you think I might have some setting messed up on my computer or something?

Go to the volume control panel and make sure "Line In" isn't set to 0.

You might also want to poke around your Control Panel. What are you running? Windows XP?

It seems as if you have a problem. XD

Well first off be sure that the mic is plugged in all the way. If it is, do what Paul told you.

If that doesn't work... try calling a pro?

Yes. There should be a support website on the package of your microphone. That's always worth a try.

The Line In wasn't set to 0 and the support website wasn't much of a help. o.O

If two microphones didn't work, it could be your computer. You might want to contact the support from your computer's brand.

What do you have? HP? Gateway?

It's all set now. I had to turn the line-in up even higher. Thanks for the help.
