Is there any definitive way to get this one to stop? I am running Platinum on no$gba through Darwine on an Intel Mac and it works fine except for this !#%@ error that pops up with a frightening disregard for my current progress and circumstances in the game. I'm told that no one's quite sure what causes it and thus can't seem to find much info on preventing it, but this is information gleaned from old discussions I dug up on google

has anyone else had this problem when emulating a DS game? do you know of a workable, convenient solution?

Workable and convenient? Buy the game.

I'm in a great mood so I'll actually be an assistance; there are two possible solutions

    1. Save frequently and reopen: that microphone error should not happen more than once a day. So save and reopen no$gba to play again. Reopening the program is important as no$gba saves upon closing, and if the emulator crashes it reverts the sav files automatically.

    2. Use desume. It works fine on desume and you can even turn the sound off without the game freezing. Down side to desume is that you will need a computer with high CPU. When I mean high CPU I mean really high.
Another thing, do not even bother using quad processors. desume can only use one CPU (programmed by freelancers, what you expect?). i.e. a computer with 3.0Ghz will run faster than 2.2Ghz Duo when playing on desume.

Anyway two practical solutions. Personally I support the legal versions of the game I suggest you buy the game.
