The Microsoft Zune is like totally a ipod killer, but it isn't... =p

    1. I like hate the design soooo much.... The Zune looks too bulky and the buttons are like totally hard to use a while compared to iPod's click wheel, and it's bulky to and like doesn't look good then the iPod.

    2. It only works on Windows XP/Vista. It like won't work with Mac OS X or Linux, like the iPod does.

    3. Sharing music is like totally too restrictive. After you transfer the song, you only can play the song 3 times and you like have to do it within 3 days.

    4. You cannot use existing WMA files already purchased or any songs bought from the iTunes Music Store.

    5. You cannot get a bigger model of the Zune. (30 GB only)

    6. Missing alot of features that the iPod have.

    7. Zune's Marketplace like doesn't use regular money, but points.

    8. You like totally need to use the Zune Marketplace to transfer music.

    1. Personally I wouldn't care about any GUI since an MP3 player is an MP3 player. If it plays OGGs, WAVs and MP3s I'm happy.

    2. It's Microsoft.

    3. It's Microsoft.

    4. It's Microsoft.

    5. Who's going to fill 30 gigs of music? If you have to upload it again like you said in 3, like it'll matter?

    6. Then Microsoft will release Zune 3.1 with a few features and then Zune 3.1 For Workgroups with Printer drivers included.

    7. Microsoft own all the money. They're only assuming everyone else will be poor.

    8. And that's different to iPods how?

    Too little, too late.

No support other than .wma, can't transfer in from your computer....iPod still pwnz.

iPods like have alot of third party iPod Managers so that you like don't need to use iTunes to transfer music, meaning it's not limited just with Macs and Windows, but you can like use linux as well. Zune can't, because it like only work on Windows XP. =p

Zunes cannot play ogg files. It only supports AAC, MP3, and WMA.

I kinda gathered. It's Microsoft. ;) Very few MP3 players these days can play OGG. :(

I'm not planning to get into the Zune, nor do I like iPods. Both are far too restrictive and fairly useless. Especially the iPod shuffle. I'm a fan of iRiver players - great sound quality, support for MP3/Ogg/WMA, and - very importantly for me - have FM tuners. Their portable video players still leave much to be desired, but the format support is better than the iPod's, and I really haven't seen an excellent PVP yet. I'll be getting one as soon as iRiver releases a good one.

I'd consider getting it if (a) I could get it in 80+ GB, (b) I could put Linux on it like on my iPod, and (c) I had money to spend.

I have to agree, I would also like to add I am far to cheap to buy one. My cell phone, an LG VX8100 has good enough speakers and with the Mini SD card I bought it gets the job done as an MP3 player.
