3rd Gen Mirages, or is it?

Everyone knows about the Mirage Island, an ellusive Island that is seen very seldomly. It only contains a lot of Wynauts and a rare Leichi berry. The question is, it is by chance that you can get there, or you need something or somebody to activate it? I have been there once and never again... (thats my opinion).

Mirage Island is activated when the random number picked by the game matches the OT number of one of your party pokemon.

If you have a spare game, do what I did. Trade a poke over from it, restart and continue. The more OTs you have, the higher the odds of it appearing.

I have a question about this to when and where and in what game does it appear

Erm, two of those questions are already answered. It appears in ruby sapphire and emerald, since it was asked in the advance games forum. It appears when a randomly selected number matches the OT of one of your pokes. It appears to the east of the floating town (padicifilog? I can never remember)

My Salamence had a match, the match number was 51083.

So this is the real mystery behind this mystery? Cause my team in finding Mirage Island is: Sceptile, Salamence, Rayquaza, Latios, Deoxys and Wobbuffet. But after that, I tried to find it again but it's gone. So, do you mean match numbers change randomly?

Yep; they change every day. I thought it was secret ID, but it must not be. D:


It doesn't depend on your team, it depends on their ID numbers. So it's best to have a good few. And if you're really enthusiastic about it, you could change your team, check, change your team, check, etc.

You're lucky you got there once, I never have. ;_;
What happens if you save on it, anyone?

man I havent even been there once, the entire 8 years I had my sapphire version I didnt get one glimpse of mirage island.

Same. Never had once even after 5 years of playing my Emerald..

I got there, saved there.
Nothing happens, after you leave, it is a different day, and the island disappears when you change route.
A shame really, the only good thing there is the berry...
