Movies not shown in the Cinema?

    Now, i remmber when i was younger there was 'Pokemon the First Movie' and 'Pokemon 2000' after that there were other releases of movies out. Im no expert about the whole Cinema stuff but i just wonder why didnt they show it in the Cinema?. Im in Britain btw so....suppose its not as big as it was.....
     
    Movies had lower and lower viewings as they went on. Lesser and lesser amounts of people went to see the movies as they progressed due to the decline in fandom. The first movie was still the top viewed movie outside of Japan. As soon as the fourth movie was dubbed, they began only running it in limited theaters. Same occured with the fifth movie.

    After that, they figured it'd be best to not waste so much money for theaters and put them direct to video.

    Could that be the reason why MiraMux got distro privs to all future movies?
     
    Were the movies even in cinemas? lols. Mine were all vcds.. nothing about showing it on screen though.. ><;;
     
    I can't even remember when teh movies came out...or if they did come into teh movies for me..But I think they should still be in movies..everything is better on teh big screen, specially Pokemon movies.

    Actually, if movies were to be shown in cinemas, it gives me, as a fan, a feeling that Pokemon movies are somehow.. hmm.. honoured or something...? It gives Pokemon movies a standing.. I mean, even Powerpuff GIrls have their movie aired in theatres..

    But if the movies weren't aired in the theatre, well, I'd think of it as.. saving money? Cos' no movie in theatre >> no need to pay for movie tickets.. :P
     
    I only ever remember the first three movies being showed in cinemas and then after that well... Pokemon pretty much disappeared here in NZ and you cant even buy the DVDs.
     
    wow.. your country actually showed the movies in theatres.. cool. Well, it only goes to show how much my country doesn't appreciate Pokemon..hmph.
     
    ^Well.... when it was popular it showed them but then it just dropped out completely. No cinemas, no DVDs. All I get now is one episode a week and we are only up to Advanced Generation.. so I have been watching the rest on computer.
     
    In my country, we're also only at AG.. I can hardly find any POkemon movies around my place anymore.. It's sad isn't it :(
     
    Yea well... thats why I download them now. I have watched only 5 Pokemon movies and it was 3 in cinemas and 1 downloaded and 1 on TV when I was in Japan. XD I watched the Jirachi one on TV twice in Japan.
     
    Awesome.. I watched all the movies (except the movie with Lucario) on pirated vcds/ dvds.. sssshh.. lols. As for the rest of the series, I patiently wait for them on TV every Saturday.. ><;; Gotta be patient for the sake of Pokemon.. lols :P
