Ms. "Smart" Woman doesn't know what a radius is

On "Are you Smarter Than a 5th Grader?", a 44-year-old woman got this question:

"If the diameter of a circle is 4 inches, what is the radius?"

She didn't know it! It proves that more than half the stuff taught in our schools aren't even remembered. In my opinion, there is no excuse for this. It shows an extreme lack of intelligence. And guess what? She's a realtor! I simply cannot believe any of these people get into a college or even have a job with their dumbed-down brains.

So she had to copy the answer from another 5th Grader in order to stay in the game. Quite embrassing.

2. Well duh, I don't think half of what is taught in school is remembered. Only what COUNTS is remembered, and apprently she knew what counted to be a realtor. =/

Awesomely pointless thread. If a 44-year old woman gets asked a question like that, she's been out of school for, well, how long?
Correct, at least 20 years. People tend to forget things they don't have to do with daily or don't need in that time.
I'd really like to see you in 30 years, when you haven't seen that stuff in ages and get asked that question.
