Hello everyone !

I have a question for you, that is bothering me since quite a time now...

Most pokemons only speak their names.
But are there some pokemons who don't speak at all ?

If they are any, I'd love to know which.

And here comes the real question.

If a Pokemon is mute.... HOW do the humans know its name ?!?!

I'm sure you understand this question needs to be answered :)

Actually, I'm pretty sure all Pokemon say their names. Even though in Kanto they just make noises. XD
That answers your question. XD

If there WERE muted pokémon, they would just make a name for it, take, for instance, Ekans, backwards, its name spells "snake", so humans would call it ekans as it looks like a snake. If they were to call it "snake" it would sound very plain.

I don't think there is such a thing as a snake in the Pokemon world. And if they don't say something I'm sure they would just make up a name for it.

Its kind of stupid that Mr. Mime and Mime Jr. actually talk. To answer your question, the pokemon professors or someone else named them. Just for accuracy's sake, not all Pokemon speak their names. The majority of legends either speak human speech or unleash a roar or cry.

This was more of a fun question ;)

Just as I thought. I have far memories of watching pieces of films and the legendary are usually too cool to go around saying "Dialga ! Dialga ! Rrowl" while destroying the entire area :)

Note: I used Dialga because it was the first name google gave on my search. I don't remember their names but I think in the 2nd film, they were 3 legendaries destroying land around them for no obvious
[*] reason (and not talking)

[*] when in japanese and fast forwarded, scenarios are usually not obvious ;p

Yer, Pokemon 2000, Zapdos,Articuno,Moltres.

They fly around destorying the land untill Lugia turns up.

if by 'mute' you mean the POKEMON who doesn't say their names in the anime, then there is...

For instance, Rhyhorn and Rhydon won't say their names.
Lapras, Gyarados, Onix, legendary birds, dogs, Kyogre, Groudon, Steelix and Lugia, Ho-oh...
I think that's all that I know...
