    Dear Whoever Can Assist,

I'm in dire need of assistance. I have Blue version with my first ever Pokemon locked within. The problem is, is that my Blue is getting kinda' old and is behaving rather glitchy. I wanted to know if there was a way that I could trade my beloved Blastoise into my Emerald version or if I just have to get a new Blastoise traded from Leaf Green or something like that.

I know it seems really silly to be all attached to my Blue version Blastoise, but I'd really like to have her actually traded over... I worked really hard to get her to level 100, we spent a long time together and I can't bear the thought of loosing her - even if she is just a bunch of pixels and code...

Thank you for your time and assistance,
    Ryosagale Remya

Nope, there isn't a way to get it to Emerald. Sorry.

You could try to get a non-glitched R/B/Y/G/S/C, and trade it over, if you want to keep it in a glitchless environment.

Really? *sad* I was fearful of that... If I traded her to Crystal would I be able to trade her over that way, or no...?

Isn't there suppose to be some Pokemon Box/Storage Game out for a non-gameboy system that I could use to trade her with or am I thinking of something else?

I guess at the least I'd better trade her over to my Crystal version, that one's doing pretty well... My Silver and Gold versions are also suffering a bit, not because of age, but because of over hacking with my now officially dead gameshark... I never should have bought that death-trap in the first place. *mutters*

Thank you for your help, gs135790, I really value your assistance.

Ryosagale, there is NO way whatsoever to trade directly from R/B/Y/G/S/C to R/S/E/FR/LG, as it says in the first page of the R/S/E/FR/LG of the manuals.
As for trading it to Pokemon Box? I highly doubt it would work, but I don't know as I don't have a GameCube....
I know how you feel, I lost my beloved Lugia and Articuno as I couldn't trade it over to S/E/LG.... It's a shame Nintendo couldn't make some way we could
I think its something to do with codes and such, you'll just have to trade it through FR/LG

Hmm... That's really not fair. You think they'd realize we love our Pokemon... Oh well, I traded her over to Crystal so she's safe for a while at the least.

Do you mean lost as in gone forever or that their just stuck in their respective games? Either way that's really sad... *sighs*

yes get pokemon box (i think thats right) trade from blue to crystal then to pokemon box then to emerald you can buy pokemon box from the new york poemon center(they have a website but i cant post becuase thats advertising)

Really?! Have you done something like that? I really hope it works, if it does you're totally my hero! *huggles*

I'll look for a website (in New York?!) and make a note on my Christmas list.

Completely wrong. There is no way you can transfer Pokémon from the R/B/Y/G/S/C series onto an Advance game.
You should inform yourself a bit before posting false information.

Ryosagale, as it was said before, your Blastoise will remain on the old cartridge, you can't transfer it over.

there is a way . Nintendo will do anything to gett money so there should be something or there will come something that makes it possible dont trow yor game away yet ;)
    juast wait

There wont be, Nintendo don't care about the Color and Metal generation anymore.

Another reason that you can't transfer pokemon from R/B/Y/S/G/C to S/R/E is because that the newer games gives pokemon natures which the old games did not have. There is possibly no way that you can get your Blastoise to the Advance Gen games.

I'm just sorry to disappoint you..but it isn't possible at all. But, maybe you can tain another one at FR/Lg ^^

the reason that it doesn't and never work actually is the fact that the link cables (Including the GC GBA-GC cable) works differently to the original. the original could send data only go one way at a time. Lets say it goes from left to right, it could only send left then it could only send right. The advance sends at the same time so it has a 2 way data stream so instead of sending left and then right it sends them both at the same time. I hope that explains it a bit (though it is probably as clear as mud).

    the reality?

I always thought the reason was that adding such capability would require thousands of extra lines of code (perhaps several folds more than what was needed to make the GSC Time Capsule) that would increase the total program ROM size to proportions that the GBA could not accomodate.

As for natures, what about the Mood Feature in GSC and new moves from there? GSC's time capsule has provisions to erase the Mood and merge in the Special Attack and Special Defense stats-and to check for GSC and above only moves and Pokemon that cannot go back to RBY (I'm sure attached items are dealt with appropriately also, though I don't have the games anymore to really say what really goes on)

nope you can't trade it over just raise one if you have FR/LG and then trade it using link cable or wireless adapter to your emerald, ruby, sapphire.etc

you arent able to trade from rby to gsc easily, why should you be able to swtich technology?

Well, the easiest option is purchasing a new R/B/Y/G/S/C cartridge and transferring it there. Or you can transfer it to Pokémon Stadium, but it'll remain in the old cartridge, I think.

And trust me, I know how we can get attached to our Blastoises...^_~

Truly right...I wonder where is the mine...Where is his savegame...

well i dont blame you for being attached to you blastoise either...
in fact i am rather attached to my swampert that i raised on pokemon ruby when it first came out, i trade him to every new game i get and he will follow me to d/p hopefully... i know how you feel because i lost a favorite blastoise to a corrupted save file on gold...
